Post-Game Talk: Rangers v. Bruins - Game 2 PGT

Yes I think Rangers have looked better in these first 2 games than they did in the first 2 against the Caps. What some people fail to realize is that hockey isn't just a game of skill or who the better team is, but also luck and bounces. Haven't been going their way so far.
 
Obvisouly they weren't gonna head to the garden 1-1...this team only knows how to make things as difficult as possible, until it becomes too difficult to overcome. Like another 0-2 deficit, this time against a better team....Oh well I guess.
 
Richards seems to have completely checked out. I thought maybe toward the end of the season there was some life in him but he has totally proved me wrong. He's a waste.

do you really want to be the one that goes into your boss's office (Glen Sather in this case) and say i'm sitting our 2nd or 3rd highest paid player for Kris Newbury?

I mean if I was not afraid to put my job on the line yeah i'd do it, but that is almost suicide.

If Miller's wrist did not need rest, you may have a good show of support for him to come in instead of Richards, but I don't think it happens for Newbury.

I think there is a good chance Staal plays in game 3...this team NEEDS that kind of boost.

1. Play better

2. Make Bobby Orr Jr pay every time he touches the puck

3. More physical...
 
Why the mixing with the D? Wasnt Stralman and DZ fine?

Stralman with 22+ TOI today and +1

Dont get Torts tossing around sometimes. More like an obsession than a need it feels like sometimes.

This game was a complete anomoly if you ask me...

The players that needed to show up, showed up... We had their number for the first 2 periods...

Third period came, and that third goal killed us.. Beyond that, I don't think I've seen Rask play that good all year...

Between Del Zotto and Girardi sucking it up badly, Hank being off his game, and Rask playing much, much better than usual, the rangers lost...

Everyone said this would go 7 games... I still believe it will... We should have taken the caps in 5-6, but it took 7 due to our pitiful offense... The offense is finally here, but the B's are much more physical. This will take 7 games, and I'm pretty confident that if the rangers play the way they did for most of this game, it's our series.

Let's not freak out yet.

On the bright side, the PP looked MUCH better at the end of the 1st... and continued onward.. getting 3-4 shots on a PP is unheard of for us, and yet we did it twice (i'm pretty sure). That's progression if I've ever seen it

He'll get one more chance for next season, and then he is gone thanks to the buyout we have remaining...

Coincidentally, that is the same season that Torts contract expires
