When our PP sucked, I remember many in here saying we wouldn't go far in the playoffs without a decent PP. Now we have a lethal PP and the doom and gloomers are at it again, looking for the negative. Ugh!
The Rangers cannot compete for a Cup without a perfect roster. That can only happen 3 years from tomorrow, which will always be the day after today.

Correct. Furthermore, a perfect roster is determined only after a team wins the cup. As we have not won the cup with our current roster, our roster is not perfect and we therefore we cannot win a cup.

Speaking of...was it just me or did the Rangers do a lot more flipping the puck high last night ? Miller did it a few times ...
We had trouble chipping it up along the boards. Many times OTT players sealed off the wall, not allowing the puck past the neutral zone. I was getting frustrated we couldn't get it deep or past their guys. Flipping it high, kinda solves that problem. Gets it deeper but with less control. More or less a 50-50 toss up but at least it gets us moving forward in the right direction.

Everything is north/south now. You don't risk east/west passes at this time of year. You either chip it off the boards if you don't have an out, or flip it high out of the zone. Makes for a more boring game and less scoring, but that is the objective. Playing it safe and cutting down on the high-quality danger chances against. And there weren't many of those on either side last night, other than the two on one OTT scored on, off the turnover by Chytil not getting it deep. He tried to skate through 3 defenders at the blueline instead of chipping it behind the goalie.

I dont often disagree with you, but come PO time the bottom 6 have to be able to score more than "once in a while". usually top 6 on both teams cancel out, and the team that has a better bottom 6, are the difference makers in close games.
Right now, we don't have ANYBODY in bottom 6, that KNOWS HOW TO, put the puck in the net. Rooney? Haha, make me laugh.
I thought I answered this already but,... You are absolutely right on what happens in the playoffs. The stars cool off, and the bottom 6 start to shine. And that happens with every team making the postseason. Why would our team be any different? Our bottom 6 spend more time in the O zone than most clubs. Why would they not be as successful, as other playoff contenders. It's not like those other teams have 20 goal scorers on their 3rd and 4th lines. So if other teams bottom 6, step up bigtime during crunch time, what makes you think ours won't do the same,... when they are very adept in keeping the play in the O zone?

If we do any deals at the TDL, ideally, it will be for a right winger who can eat up big minutes.

By the end of the night the Rangers will be 6th in the league in point %, 4th in the conference. The Rangers have 18 home games and 14 away games to finish the season with a really light travel schedule. 14 games against playoff opponents and only 4 back to backs.

Igor can get them the #1 seed. Hopefully Drury can get some forward help sooner than later

I want it to work with Chytil but too often the most noticeable things he does are blueline turnovers and wincing in pain on the bench.
He wouldnt be wincing nearly as much if he kept his damned head up. What I notice is the above you stated, AND what I said as it really is entertwined.
Stickhandling leaves alot to be desired (confidence?) which is prob why he is looking down, gets rocked, turns puck over and then winces.

I don't see Florida and Carolina slowing down the remainder of the regular season barring a cataclysm.

Yeah if Chytil was on a different team, he’d be Trouba’s next victim

Every win deserves a flamingo and a girl. Even if she's a 5 or 6.
