May be a controversial take but I think Fox has surpassed Panarin as the best player on the team.
More than Fox has surpassed him so far . Zibs IMO has passed him also . We started to see that last Winter when he was off for 3 weeks ....I figured he would come out of camp flying in great shape after moving his Russian family's furniture all Spring/Summer . Guess I was wrong on that....he looks PATHETIC !!! I wonder how many more games he gets before it gets to be a problem for management ? Once we lose 2-3 that we are expected to win.....watch out !!! Hopefully he can find his legs as JD always used to say to Sam in a broadcast many years ago and that problem clears up.

Sens are fast and furious . Stutzle got called on the second dive because Refs also watch replays....they got the Miller call earlier WRONG .

Kreider has done well so far under Gallant....happy to see that . Imagine if he had started as bad as Panarin? I also think our offense and PP will be much better with KK and Strome back on the ice . McKegg doing as good as he can....but...and last but not least.....We need to see Reaves in action just so it gets real and gives teams we are about to play a taste of what to expect . Drop the mitts Reaves !

These road wins and finding ways is very much an experienced NHL head coach thing. Managing the team on and off the ice that I don't think Quinn had a handle on. It's odd to remember that with AV and Torts we had these types of perseverance that we haven't seen in years. Last 3 years has all been about the parts being greater than the sum but so far with 10-93 sleeping and 24 and 16 out, we've been a sum is greater than the parts team. A lot of luck for sure but good experience for the team early on to have some faith in tough games.

An afternoon game against the sleepy sens on a gloomy October day. Who the f*** would be excited for a game like this? That makes it even more impressive that Gallant and co. leave with 2 points. Who knows how valuable these points are going to be come the spring...
The times they are a changing

It’s something we aren’t used to. This was a sure fire loss, now we are in a new era and maybe we should be a little egotistical and say “ we got this” but I know its a hard habit to break. My point is it’s a a turning point and maybe this will be the beginning of a fun season or a fun era. I’ll still be a negative asshole bc it’s all I know but I might be less surprised when they pull out wins. We’re seeing the start of something special. Let’s revel in it.

Wow. 55 minutes of blech and then that.
Stutzle was diving like Greg Louganis all game. I am glad they caught him.

I have been watching hockey for 35 years and Adam Fox is an absolute magician. Pay attention kids, you won't see another one like this come along for a long long time. Enjoy it.

They talked all off season about grit. All those goals were that kind of effort. Fox woth magnificent plays but nothing is in the net without going to it first.
They used to talk about the Chicoutimi Cucumber for being so cool under pressure...so what do we call Fox ? He is the coolest I have watched play in a long time . He just stops and guys fly right past him and then he makes a great play . BTW...for the young crew...the Cucumber was George Vezina the great Hab goalie back in the day . Guys we have become the goons now haha.
That Kreider goal was clear intent to injure the goalie. GTFO.

Nothing to do with the fact that Price has an extremely extensive injury history and Murray has been injured often as well. Almost like these goaltenders are getting hurt and Kreider who has played net front for the last 10 years have been around for a few of those.

He has had a BIG role in at least 1 huge play in every single one of our Ws......I get not having a C if no one is truly worthy , but I would give it to Kreids longest tenured player , PO experience , and he makes BIG plays ..
Maybe not giving him the C has lit a fire under his ass. Let's give it a little more time, I'm a huge Kreider fan BTW but he is streaky

People online mad saying Kreider hurt Murray on purpose. Wtf? He gets pushed from behind and goes OUT OF HIS WAY to avoid Murray. He jumps backwards and away from Murray despite being so close to him he could’ve let the bump cause him to fall on Murray if he was being dirty.

He tried extra hard to avoid him and only makes contact bc Murray is lunging out of the crease with his head INTO KREIDER.

In what world is that his fault?
Didn’t Matt Murray have a GAA last year of like…5.00? Who on earth is their backup goalie if losing Matt Murray causes a crisis?

Might be an even more controversial take but I think Shesterkin is better than either of them
If Shesty could play every game I would say it's close but Fox is a game changer right now. We lose 2-0 if not for him tonight.
Also last years team loses 3-2 on a final goal in regulation scored by Nick Holden from the point or on a 3 on 3 rush thru the neutral zone.
It's refreshing to see us not drop important points late in the third so far.

This a game the Rangers would not have won last year.

You can make a case that the Paul-Blais fight turned the game around.
Good point and Blais again was one of the very few who looked half alive thru 2

Kreider living rent free in 2/3's of eastern Canada's head. You love to see it.
It is mind boggling if they think the first goal/Murray getting hurt is even remotely his fault. And the hit on Norris was a penalty but to call it vicious or dirty is another joke.

Lindgren should have had his second of the year already along with an assist. This guy is gonna score 20-25 points consistently if he continues to play with Fox.
