I've been suspecting for years now that the Pens are doing funny business with what they say their contracts are and pay players under the table. The Pens aren't close to being champions, despite the press they get for being so great. They have serious holes.

Ehrhoff can potentially score 60-70 points playing for the Pens and then go get rich in free agency the next year. He's not putting up those numbers here.

I would have rather signed Ehrhoff. Not sure he would have been willing to sign with us, but I would have liked him over Boyle.

There's nothing bad about this signing. I think stralman is going to get a bigger contract than people think. I think he's getting girardi money. Also Ehrhoff probably gave ****tsburgh a discount. We probably talked to him and he chose Pittsburgh. People tend to think that players are dying to play for their team. It's not true.

Stralman signed for 5 years at 4.5 per... If you add the Florida tax bbreak in there that's nearly $5M per year...

That's NOT what we need

We're officially headed back to bubble team status. Goodbye Cup contention. It was nice for the one whole year it lasted.

Stralman wanted to get paid, happy for him. Calm the **** down people...Be glad its only 2 years

Erhoff is a left shot. We have Staal and McD at LD. A left shot at RD is handicapped, look around the league.

Stralman had 13 pts.

Stralman’s contract with the Lightning is less than what he asked the Rangers. (Brooks)

Of course it is, because Slats never offered 5 years to a 27 y/o.

Stralmans deal will be real good at the end of it. Slats has not figured that out...

This is a gamble for more offense on the PP and from the blue line in general.

Considering we had 3 defense-first right handed blueliners, this makes sense. Doesn't mean I'm a huge fan of the 2 year term, but it makes sense.

I think the point is, he gave TB a "home town discount" and wanted to bleed us for $$$

I like Stralman but people are acting like he was a elite defensemen. he did a really good job but he wasnt flawless he had some rough moments. Dan Boyle will at least give us more offense on the Defense and on the PP. Two year deal is fine
