Why can't we draft guys like Hertl? He was a 17th overall pick so we can't use the refusal to tank excuse. Sather's failure to draft a offensive star has been his biggest failure as a GM.

Remember, Stepan also had a hat trick in his first game. It's not uncommon for rookies to have hot starts sometimes.

Teams that don't have the puck always throw more hits than teams that do. Hitting more has a negative correlation with winning. Statistically, teams win more games where they get out hit than when they out hit the other team.

I don't know man. If I were looking at those three games only I'd say he's a Rocket Richard Trophy winner.

All myself and I believe other people are trying to do is encourage a little more realistic look at things. Kreider had an incredible start to his career, and was a highly touted prospect. He's not a bust yet. If small sample sizes like that reflect good a bad drafting choices, than the idea that we don't draft any offensive studs is negated when you look at Kreider's first post season or Stepan's first game.

Sather has been GM for how long? One guy in Stepan and a maybe who's back in the minors in Kreider is not a good track record for drafting and developing offensive talent. I don't know how anyone could argue otherwise.

Sounds right, Kings had something like 40 to our 15-20ish hits last night.
