Glad you guys like them

Yesterday I was thinking that it was funny we were meeting both capitals in North America two days in a row so I decided the PGT had to be some sort of government/UN theme.

yes plus it's against The Senators

thought zucc really stood out. along with richards. talbot did what he had to do, as well. those were my three stars. the real star was the overall team play and a decent amount of puck-luck. it was a great game to watch.

Agreed. Those were my three stars as well.

Was watching with my wife and daughter, and said after Ottawa's start that this one had loss written all over it. Though, after that nice 5 on 3 goal, the whole game changed, and it became basically all Rangers.

Nice way to spend a ridiculously cold Saturday afternoon in Charlotte, NC.

This might not be a popular opinion, but I like Carcillo's game more than Dorsett's. I know it's just been a few games, but with Carcillo on our fourth line, we've kept up the offensive pressure. He has shown some offensive skill so far and has some speed too. Its a big if, but IF he continues like this and doesnt cross over the line, I'd be very happy to see him stick in the lineup over Dorsett. I'm quite content with our current fourth line.

The Brassard-Zuc-Pouliot trio has been really exciting to watch. I'd be afraid to break that up. Nash-Stepan-Kreider is solid.
So if we were to make a move to improve our offense (which is streaking a bit right now), I see Callahan as the only one who could come out of the lineup/be traded. Obviously Callahan brings so many intangibles, but he is an upcoming UFA and if we could bring in a goal scorer to replace him, its a move to consider.

On D- Mcd, Staal, Girardi and Stralman have all been solid. Moore and DZ up for debate. I saw a proprosed trade online moving a package built around DZ++ for Ryan O'reilly. We could put Dorsett in the deal to even out some $ if Colorado has any interest in him.
O'Reilly could conceivably take Callahan's spot in the lineup. If we could then move Callahan for a young d-man and prospects/picks, that could improve our D, I'd like our chances. Our top 9 would be improved with O'Reilly. The D-man we could acquire for Callahan would hopefully be an improvement over DZ.
We'd lose Callahan's PK-ing, but Vigneault has been trying out other guys in that role as of late. Moore, Boyle, Zuc, Stepan, and Nash have all seen some time on the PK. Oh yeah and O'Reilly can thrive in that role.
Any moves made, would hopefully not involve us moving a 1st round pick. I think its important we hold onto that pick this year.

@hagsfan Dorsett was a mess. Did he play hard? Sure, he did, not saying he didnt show effort but he took way too many stupid penalties and didnt really give back much to the team. Carcillo so far is leagues above him, hes a better agitator and seems to skate and handle the puck better. I HATED him a few years ago when he was on Philly though...

at the beginning of the year, i was massively in favor of getting rid of pouliot. but boy was i wrong. he plays with edge and skill. he has really turned into a 'plus' player. i am very happy with him.

one thing, though. i cannot wait tip mcilrath is a regular. the rangers are playing more 'together' lately but they still are getting knocked-around too much. that neil...why does he get away with that garbage. does nothing but run around trying to injure people. and never has to answer for it...

The last time I saw a snipe like Nash's today was in 2002, from Pavel Bure, back when I lived in Florida. Fair play to No. 61!

I'm not understanding the Dorsett hate. I thought we wanted more toughness. Aside from face offs is don't know what Boyle does for this team. I would rather have Dorsett than Boyle in the lineup.

Boyle is a good PK. Other than that I agree With u.

few takeaways from game:
J.Moore was bad. Couldnt clear the puck many timeas and was easily pushed around but Del Zotto bailed him out few times as he had a good game.

that's just not true. Both he and MDZ played solid today. I know it's popular to rag on these two guys but there's no reason to bust their chops today. Moore carried the puck really well today and showed his skating chops. Very solid win.
