They're gonna be real good. I have faith in both. Im certain Miller will up his physical game with more experience.

If Miller worked on his skating stride and bulked up as we would expect him to, with a large lankier frame and all, he can be really good.

I thought the team played sloppy in the first 5 mins and then rallied back. There still are some inconsistencies like they sat back for the third and got scored on as a result, but it was probably the most exciting game I have seen in a while. Really had ya on the edge of your seat. Panarin has like 68 points in 54 games, he can do whatever he wants. We have so much star power, time to fill out the lineup.
I also would like to mention i like the new updated look of this site.

Gauthier with a strong game as well
Agree. A lot of the boys played like men today. Lafreniere, Chytil, Miller, Schneider. They were actually looking for contact. I like it. Also, Panarin looked way more engaged than usual. He was very willing to take contact and go into the heart of the defense. Huge. Only Strome disappointed, really. He can’t receive a pass smoothly and when he does have the puck he is usually going on the wrong direction.

Of the teams we faced on this road trip, I thought Dallas would be our toughest opponent. And for the first 5 minutes it sure looked like it would be that way. Dallas had been playing excellent hockey at home with a 20-8-1 record and they have a hot young 2nd year goalie. His record this year is 19-8-1 with a .920 save pct. 15-3 at home. Not that St Louis or Minnesota would be easy, because they also play very well at home. But Dallas had been on a roll, whereas those other teams had been slumping.

I said this would be a tough road trip, so to come away with 2 wins out of the 4 games, in my eyes, is a successful trip. Now we head home and play 14 of our remaining 23 games in front of the home crowd. Things are looking up, coming off this tremendous, come from behind win.

Forwards were pretty good for the most part, only players who really left a lot to be desired were Kreider and Strome.

Didn’t watch the game but it appears Panarin heard us talking shit. More games like this from him and we’ll be just fine. 2-2 road trip, I’ll take it.

I am about to watch a reply of the game and haven’t checked the score, but I got a hunch that Dallas will have a hard time defending against Fox screening the goalie and deflecting shots and Nemeth’s wrap around abilities.

Miller had another good game. I'm amazed that we have a 1st rounder that's developed so quickly, plays such a huge role and has so much more room for improvement. Even though it feels like he's been here forever, he's 22 and has only played 112 NHL games. After a season and a half of pro experience he's often used as part of the top pair, has dominant size compared to most Fs, great stickwork and isn't an immobile lump that treats the puck like a hand grenade like you might expect from a 6'4" dman. If he was on another team, there would be hundreds of posts on the roster building thread on what it would take to get him but the pathetic reality is that there are regular posters who keep dumping on him. It's f***ing crazy.

Sincerely Lmao'ing. You're inner Nostradamus is coming out of you. That was truly funny. Surprised you didn't say "I really hope Hunt plays on the top 6, he's perfect there."

I like that Shesty still went for the goal there, it shows that his confidence wasn’t shot by having a couple bad games in a row.
Stupid move. I imagine Gallant talks with him about that . They had lots of time to tie that game when that happened and any team with Benn and Seguin out there...dangerous ! It was a selfish move by Shesty . Panarin was skating last night...he gave it all and as I said...he is a 150 pt player if he wanted to give the effort . There are not many that have that skill level.....I just hate the no effort games . Was also happy Reaves sat out that game . Shesty let the first one in a bit soft...Panarin did all he could do with a bigger guy on that play and it was one Shesty normally will have but it happens . I agree Lindgren is a bit light .
It was a hard game to watch with Dallas announcers....I can't believe they did not call the Dallas goal back that was directed in by a glove . Even the Dallas players knew it should not have counted going by the video shown after on a couple of players involved .

I think Miller will emerge as being our best defensemen in our own zone within the next 2-3 years. Fox is obviously Fox - he plays a buttery smooth game when he's on and is phenomenal at the transition game - but I'd rather have Miller out there against the toughest assignments due to his size, reach, and speed.

As good as our defensemen are, I never felt like we've had a proper replacement to McDonagh, who was the most stingy blueliner the Rangers have had in the last decade when he was on. Miller probably has the best potential to be that guy of the bunch. And at the end of the day, that type of player is what you need to win against physically imposing teams who crash the net.
