Sorry, I'm new here.....but are you a Ranger fan?

I guess the expectation is that they should crush the team with the worst record in the league on their home ice, or they are considered "absolute trash"?

You'll learn fast that to many people the Rangers do not win. The other team just loses better than we do..

He didn't make a mistake - his clear took a funny bounce off the boards.

Yes, after he shot it into a cluster of four or five guys. There were other plays he could have made. Hank's puckhandling sucks, dude. It's one of his truly bad qualities. He needs to make a better read next time. I'm sure he's upset about it, but it is what it is. Don't shoot the puck into a bunch of guys next time. Make a short pass or even go up the middle depending on where the D is at the point. It's not like he was being pressured to make a quick decision, either.

It is what it is. He was lights out the entire game which is great to see.

Pretty terrible game. Glad to get 2 points, but there were far too many passengers in white jerseys. These guys have a long way to go.

Henrik didnt even get a star? Thats laughable. Sabres could have had 3 goals that period. What is ironic is, if Ennis didnt score a meaningless goal late in the game, Henrik probably would have been the number one star.

Alright these patronizing posts are kinda silly. The Rangers did not play a good game. Certain individuals on this team played well. But, the team was terrible.

There have been games where the Rangers have lost but I felt they were the better team. This is a game they didn't deserve to win but won anyways.

Hank was the star!

Thats silly, Hank was the best player on the ice.

Well, God forbid I make a post that says Hank played lights out outside of his one tiny mistake and nevesis needs to inform me that he knows everything that ever was and is and ever will be about goaltending. :sarcasm:

You just have an issue with me correcting you in saying it was a mistake. It wasn't.

Watch this video, scroll to :35 seconds in and watch what Brent Johnson talk about and demonstate what a goalie is supposed to do when faced in the same situation Henrik was tonight.

Play it hard, and as high off the glass as possible. 'Play it' (hard back up the glass)

Be a little more humble about subject matter you don't know much about. You might learn something. :)

Hank was tanking until he got a contract.

I wasn't sure at first, but when he stopped a sure goal deflection by our own team which we score 100% of the time every few games I was sold.

I love this conspiracy. He was almost discovered when he let in that shot against Chara last Friday :sarcasm:

Yes. And just about every time there isn't a cluster of players all clumped in the same area along the boards. Was a silly move when there were other options. Hank has horrendous puckhandling and makes bad reads sometimes. It is what it is. We won so it is meaningless.

He probably is upset about it and does want it back. That said, he and every other goalie in the league will do exactly what he did 100% of the time and most of the time it goes over all the players. It was a freak deflection that went directly to an open Sabres stick. Unlucky and it happens. It was 100% the correct play.

And to be clear I do agree with his puckhandling skills being terrible. This has nothing to do with that.

As a fervent defender of the opinion "the score doesn't matter, it's their play that I care about" it seems I was fortunate to miss this one.

Really happy to hear Hank was lights out.

Mike Smith hardly ever shoots it around the glass when there is a group on it. Most of the guys who are great puck handlers are a bit more creative. Hank really should have just lifted it high to center ice. I really don't care all that much, though, since it was a relatively meaningless play.

I'm pretty sure it was going over said guys when it took a crappy bounce off a join between glass panes.

Looked like he was trying to go off the glass and out, by that I mean out of play or out of zone. (because it hit the glass first, obviously wouldn't have been a penalty)

None of his team mates were near him if I remember correctly, they gave him little option.

Too bad he never got the 0, you could tell he was disappointed. Either way, there were WAY too many odd man rushes and ridiculous defensive break downs. Team were lucky to have Hank to make the saves there.

A cluster? One of our guys...one of theirs. :help::laugh:

It was not a silly move. It was text book... 101... what every goalie is taught to do.

The puck took an unlucky bounce off a stick right to a player wide open. Extremely UNLUCKY.

But yeah, you're right...it doesn't matter because we won. :)
