Just like to point out that 2nd pp unit is the pp unit that manages to score goals on a regular basis.

This game is an example of why Hank got paid big bucks.

It's a tad concerning that AV calls out the defense, and they respond with an effort like this. I can live with defensive lapses if they are offset by more offense, but every defensemen other than McD has actually performed worse offensively than they have in the past. Not sure if this group can handle man-to-man.

Henrik played very well. Can't say as much for a lot of others.

Way too many odd man rushes and breakaways for Buffalo. If they can't stop the worst team in the league from getting scoring chances like that, then I don't even know.

They beat Buffalo, big deal.

I can't blame the D on this game. The forwards(wings) were collectively dreadful this game. I mean they were doing absolutely nothing. I mean it was "get the puck out" and "puck comes right back in" all game.

Not sure why so many people are down after a 3-1 victory on the road where Hank looked like his old self and actually got some goal support for once. You'd think we just lost 5-1 or something.

There is no happy here.

They still look like a bunch of bums. Lundqvist outplayed Miller is the only positive.

This team is absolute trash. Lundqvist just stole them a game against the worst team in the league. Utterly pathetic
Sorry, I'm new here.....but are you a Ranger fan?

I guess the expectation is that they should crush the team with the worst record in the league on their home ice, or they are considered "absolute trash"?

This fanbase is never satisfied no matter what.

If you're new here, be prepared for the insane bipolar nature of this board. Or pessimistic nature, I guess. The team sucks after just about any win. If we lose, dear Lord look out.

Oh, and welcome!

Hank was tanking until he got a contract.

I wasn't sure at first, but when he stopped a sure goal deflection by our own team which we score 100% of the time every few games I was sold.

Yep. I would hope this game is a wakeup call, but it probably isn't. This team is going to flounder until there is some significant roster moves. The Rangers have pretty much one functional line atm.

I honestly think the Richards line contributed well this game. PP goal and 3-0

:laugh::laugh:

Oh man. You don't know how funny the bolded is.

Welcome to hell

Thanks for the welcome......as a long time fan, I can certainly understand the rampant pessimism, but some are a bit ridiculous.

Well, God forbid I make a post that says Hank played lights out outside of his one tiny mistake and nevesis needs to inform me that he knows everything that ever was and is and ever will be about goaltending. :sarcasm:

He didn't make a mistake - his clear took a funny bounce off the boards.

Was definitely a snoozer, but I'll blame that on Buffalo's jerseys absorbing all the surrounding energy...or something.

Richards was fine, and Zuc was working really hard(one of the few wings with Nash/Krieder who were actually playing). Callahan was godawful and continues to drag down that line.
