Kempf was benched midway through the 2nd, after not being able to make a play on Alaska's first goal. Otherwise I thought he was relatively solid. Didn't look out of place or overmatched in his first real college game which is always nice to see from a young D-man. He played mostly on the 2nd pairing with Sam Malinski who's Cornell's best puck mover which allowed him an easy outlet when he was pressed. The guys he's mostly fighting for playing time are different types of players to Kempf, offer a bit more offense and are both 2 years older, so he's going to have to be really solid on D to earn a spot in the top-6.

Breakaway goal, one assist, and it looks like he's the game's main character!

Would have to disagree with you, Berard looks like he can be a player and Othmann also looks pretty good

We must have a different definition of studs. I see possible quality third liners on a good team or low end second liners on a not good team.

1. Berard
2. Othmann
3. Cuylle
4. Henriksson
5. Korczak

Henriksson? After 2+ years we see a prospect who lacks size, speed, scoring touch, not a volume shooter by any means; so I don’t know what makes him be ahead of Korczak or a top-5 forward prospect at all. Is this excluding AHLer? I’d put Pajuniemi (and obviously Barron) instead.

Barron and Pajuniemi both play in Hartford. This list was a response to the quote below

So who's our most promising prospect not in Hartford?

Korczak is a nice prospect but Henriksson is further in his development, already signed his ELC and despite his disappointing lack of production in the SHL, he was among the best players during development camp. I think there's still some upside there.

FWIW: Korczak is my favourite pick of the 2021 draft. I think he and Henriksson both will battle for a spot in a few years.

I still think Henriksson should have stayed in NA. I think his game is better on the small ice.
