In his last 7 games, Kjellberg has 0 points, is a -7 and has 4 SOG. For the year he has one assist in 17 games, is -2, and has just 9 SOG.

Terrible pick. Could have traded it to Nashville for future consideration instead. I mean that worked out so well with the Specimen

Weird that Barron is on 2LW when he's been scoring consistently

Cornell rolls their Top 9 pretty evenly and the top line has been really good the last few weeks (The top 6 is interchangeable in terms of who's line 1 and who's line 2). Barron gets plenty of ice and is still on PP1, I believe almost running it.

he knows if he stays at center he might have to one day play between mcleod and letteri so he is taking action now

Not directed at you and I know the Rangers drafted him as a center, but Barron hasn't played center since he's gotten on campus other than the occasional strongside faceoff. Coach Schafer is not afraid to play freshman at center with both Top 6 centers as freshmen. Maybe he's a Kevin Hayes and moves to center in the pros, but he's not a center for this team at all.

Hahaha.

Crap, I'm halfway to doxxing myself. Oh well. :)

WONDERFUL place to go to college (professors, classes, campus), provided you avoid the (increasingly diminishing) southern frat-boy types.

I kind of doxxed myself, sharing my blog. But I wanted to make sure people at least click on it before they see my name but I keep forgetting that when I link it my name shows up in the post. Last time I did it I edited and was too late, someone quoted my post. Oh well.

I know one guy from Princeton I wonder if you know him. But it's just one dude, it would be very unlikely, haha.

I love how people point at MEP who was drafted a few spots later as it it was such a clear cut selection at that point. Hindsight cherry picking.
I mean it made a lot more sense as a pick then Kjellberg. That pick made no sense the minute it was made outside of his dad

Agreed.

I feel like if we're going to do that, than we can make arguments the other way as well.

Keane was passed 87 times, etc., etc.

It's going to be vital that we remember that we are going to have some misses. Frankly, it's inevitable. Obviously, we want to have as few misses as possible, but they will happen.

When we start talking about later picks especially, there's almost always going to be someone else we were thinking for those picks. In 99% of cases, we can barely remember their names within several years.

I mentioned Pettersen 5 times on draft day, come at me bro :)

I know you did. But I think the total number of people who seriously mentioned him is lower than 5. My point is that some people point at him now, and only because he's been having a good start to the season.

Not going to debate the nepotism thing anymore.

Frankly, it's a baseless claim.

Could be a completely useless pick, but I think we need proof to call it something more than that.

My main point is that Kjellberg was a throwaway pick based on nepotism and i don't care when in the draft it's made it's awful either way.
