I don't have a problem with it at all (as long as it's not taunting). Hence the smiley face. :)

(Though, by the same token, if a guy doesn't feel like doing cartwheels, that's his prerogative as well.)

I meant it as a joke, bro....

It looked like he was half committed on the fist pump and it looked silly, lolol.

Barron and Hughes are my two favorite under-the-radar prospects in the system. Joey Keane is no longer under the radar.
I want to like Hughes, but until he shows something at the NCAA level I just can't get excited. I mean, he's a very interesting prospect and I know some evaluators were high on him at the draft, but the BCHL is such a mediocre development spot, I just don't know what he can actually do.

He's still riding shotgun to Newhook, so hopefully the Rangers have been keeping a really close eye on him. Here's a vid of his second goal:

Jeans and Barron for me.

I think at this point Barron is no longer an unknown and if anything he’s closer to Keane than Hughes.

To be honest, I think that is the dumbest thing ever. Players should be happy when they score. Celebrating is part of sport.
If it were me I know I’d celebrate every goal as if it were my last and I enjoy seeing the excitement and enthusiasm from most guys, but it is refreshing when a guy on your team scores with little reaction like Hayes has done more recently. Keeps a dead pan look, fist-pumps and back-smacks his linemates telling them good job, nice pass etc., then back to work. Love it.

Something I realized today (Don't ask me why):

Did you know the fathers of Simon Kjellberg, Ty Ronning, Vladislav Namestnikov and Lias Andersson all played for the Nashville Predators in the 1999-2000 season?
Ahhh, it all makes sense. Just like Sather was trying to recreate that Team US WJC gold medal team, Gorton is trying to recreate that iconic Nashville championship core with their kids....:sarcasm:

I'm old school " act like you've been there before" but things have changed. So now the only thing I really hate iswhen players celebrate widly after a play when their team is still way behind. And while you see it all the time in football it's rare on hockey.

People are sleeping on Riley Hughes. Seen him a bunch lately. What a nice player. Very skilled. I expect him to hit the ground running in college.
