My guess is that he simply excused himself from any conversations, kind of like when a board member for an organization has a conflict of interest.
Like when they order pizza for the office, DRury isn’t allowed to press for a garlic topping

It's all about context. better offensive numbers than Erik Karlsson.

For someone who talks about context as much as you do you seem to forget to add context a whole lot. Erik Karlssons Avg TOI was 10:15 in his D+1 season while Nils Lundkvist was at 12:43, both had 10 Points with EK playing 4 more games.

At even strength EK65 had 6 Points with 7.29 ESTOI/GP, Lundkvist had 8 Points with 11.32 ESTOI/GP.

So no, Lundkvist didn't have better offensive numbers then Erik Karlsson, it's fair to say they had comparable numbers though.

I don't have the sheets with me at the moment as I am traveling, but I have posted them somewhere here. Feel free to find them. It shows the entire breakdown

I just posted the raw numbers lol, don't really feel a huge need to look for your breakdown :P

Unless i f***ed up the math EK65 has a higher P/60 both at ES and All Situations.

I could be remembering it wrong, but in the end Lundkvist's offensive numbers are still really impressive. Much better than the "detractors" give him credit for. It's a common theme with these kids playing pro in Europe being compared to college or junior kids in NA. At some point, I just stop debating it

Oh definitely, Lundkvist is great, i love him like a Son.

Post reporting all other RFAs qualified. Does this mean Chris Nell was qualified? Bergman qualified but playing overseas. I think this means he does not count towards the 50 player contract limit.

Bigras and Halverson not qualified.

Only players who sign a contract count towards the 50 spc limit. Bergman hasn't signed. He just received a QO. This is different from a situation where a player is sent to Sweden on loan.

Prospect Breakdown:
Juniors - 3 (assuming Skinner)
NCAA - 8 (assuming Ciccolini)
Europe - 9 (assuming Henriksson)
North America - 25 (assuming no EAC guys go home)

We continue our trend of not having many prospects playing NA junior hockey. We have a lot of NCAA guys, more than any time I can remember going back to the early-2000's. We also have a lot of European prospects, and they're not throwaway guys like Juris Stals, Zdenek Bahensky, Lukas Zeliska, etc. And 25 prospects playing professionally in North America is crazy. Plus, 45 prospects total--I can't remember having 45 prospects in the system at one time, honestly. And this is by the HF criteria; if you include guys like Howden, it's more.

As it stands right now, they also have another 9 picks next year

I'm thinking they use some of those in "obvious win" situations like with Fox and Trouba, should they come along. Gorton talked about using some of the assets to accelerate the rebuild to some degree, I think those two moves are examples of how to do it wisely.

Yeah, I don't expect them all to be made in a years time, but it's wild that there's so many players in the organization with still a healthy amount of picks on the horizon

Just for comparison sake I used the Wayback Machine to look at the thread from 2012.

Junior Prospects: 4
Ceresnak
McColgan
Noreau
St. Croix

NCAA Prospects: 3
Fogarty
Nieves
Skjei

International Prospects: 6
Calle Andersson
Fasth
Lindberg
Pashnin
Spelling
Zuccarello (when he went to the KHL)

I didn't have the AHL guys in the prospects thread so it's harder to figure out who was a prospect. However, our top prospects were Kreider, Miller, Christian Thomas, Marek Hrivik, Blake Parlett, Kyle Jean (Leslie's fave!), Andrew Yogan, Ryan Bourque, etc.

So seven years ago, we had like 6 or 7 legitimate prospects. Fun times.

Development camp is going to be nuts with all these guys. I'm excited to see how some the older guys do especially Barron and Miller since they've been off for a month of school and 3-4 months for hockey.

So to the knowledgeable prospect guys, what do you grade the rangers draft besides kakko since he's a A+. I don't know anything about the others

I don't know about the others either, but I'm glad it's Kakko + NO GOALIES.
