I think Cuylle‘s upside is Ryan Clowe and hoping for a Milan Lucic type steal in his prime.
Cuylle is nothing like Clowe. Clowe was one of the best fighters in the world and a terrific passer. Cuylle's strength is his straight ahead speed and shot, Clowe was much more cerebral.

So Cuylle sucks at fighting? He fought he was in Hartford a few times

Kamloops (Garand) beat Seattle (Rempe) last night 6-3, to take a 2-1 series lead.

Garand saved 27 out of 30 for the win. Rempe had a goal on 2 shots. He was -2 and had 2 PIMs.

I'd be floored if Cuylle ever goes 20-20.

Thrilled as all f***, but I don't see it. Maybe if he finds himself with the right line mates though.

I like Cuylle a lot. He is skilled, has good hands, he can skate and he also has his head screwed on right unlike a Gauthier.

The real challenge is always to get the overall game to a level where he can contribute on a shift by shift basis. It’s tough to get there nowadays for kids like him.

But if he manage to do that, I don’t see 20+20 as out of reach. It’s not about unique top end ability, many players in the NHL could contribute with the puck on their stick and some time with it. The other 95%, that is what separates who is on the inside from the ones on the outside.

I wonder if we ever had this many kids playing this late, it’s almost June lol.
well, in a week they'll only be 2

I knew Ryan Graves went to the Memorial Cup 2 years in a row ('14,'15)
(IIRC, acquired by contenders(or host) both his last 2 Q years)

I vaguely recalled there was another -
per EliteProspects, DuClair was his teammate in '15

lotta interesting names, even couple guys who've landed w NYR system (Gauthier, Merkley,

up-to-date re the 2 CHL series which both feature
the 4 remaining NYR prospects' teams facing each other
Both continue FRI>SUN>TUE, with possible OHL g7 on WED

Cuylle beat Othmann 4-2 tonight to go up 3-1.

Cuylle 1 goal, Othmann second star with both primary assists on the goals.
The series is tied 2-2, actually.

Hamilton beat North Bay 6-0 to complete the sweep. They have yet to lose in the playoffs, 12-0.

Whoever wins out of Cuylle and Othmann, hopefully they can make it a series with Hamilton.

Garand saved 34 of 37 for the OT win over Seattle. Kamloops now leads the series 3-2.

Garand is first in gaa (1.84) and 2nd in sv% (.933) among goalies with at least 5 games played. He's tied for the lead in shutouts (3) with Cossa.

Oops, for some reason I thought it was 3-1.

I think Cuylle has potential to be a Goodrow type. Big, strong and north south. People shouldn’t get swept away by CHL numbers. They’re very good and show he has skills but he’s also a 19 year old playing against a lot of younger players. Next year when he’s back to the AHL he’ll be the young guy again. Also I can see him getting in scraps now and again but he’s not Tom Wilson. He’s not a goon. He’s a hard nosed guy who deals with it when he has to.

Sounds just like what this team needs.

If this kid could become our Nickuskin or Torpochenko I'd be thrilled
