If we sign Lindbom & let Vierling walk, i will be *INCREDIBLY* confused
Lindbolm and Vierling are entirely different decisions.

We know the Rangers tried very hard to sign an undrafted free agent goalie and failed. That the Rangers only signed Lindbolm now says to me the team might not have signed him if it had signed another goalie. But the team didn't. And Lindbolm only is a 2 year commitment. Lindbolm becomes the Rangers second goalie prospect with Garand.

The Rangers are loaded with forward contracts including the expected RFAs and have six forwards entering the system next season, Cuylle, Rempe, Korczak, Trivigno, Henrikkson and Edstrom. The team doesn't have room for another prospect forward, especially someone like Vierlng who it sounds like had an underwhelming season. And signing Vierling takes up a contract for three years.

Maybe the Rangers still sign Vierling or offer him an AHL deal. But the decisions on these two players are not related.

Korczak had 1+1 last night but Moose Jaw lost and is out. Garand stopped 21/24 and took the L. Rempe was scoreless.

Garand's team is still up 3-2, Rempe's team is down 3-1.
Would Korczak be allowed to join the team as a Black Ace? Only wondering just to get the experience being around the team.

Why is it a 2 year elc? I thought it had to be 3 years?
Lindbom is 21, but turns 22 on July 23rd. For the purpose of calculating his age at signing, they use his age as of Sept 15th in the calendar year in which he signs. Players who are 22-23 when they sign their ELC are only subject to a 2 year ELC.

For European players, the entry level system extends to age 27, with a 1 year ELC requirement, but that has no bearing on Lindbom since he signed at 22.

Korczak's contract begins next year so he couldn't officially be a black ace of this playoff run.

Yeah. I guess Allaire saw promise in him pre-draft so hopefully Allaire can help Lindbom make good on that promise.
The scoop was he had a great U18 World's, pre-draft. Led to being picked, seems somewhat tooo early.. Since then, inconsistent. But still young.
Goalies often don't develop linear. Jack Campbell was drafted in 1st, didn't play many in NHL til 31 in D+8..

Seattle won last night, but Rempe had no points, no shots and an even +/-. His team still trails in the series 3-2.

Garand and Kamloops can close out their series tonight with a win.

Garand is going to have to work on his rebound control if he wants to play in the NHL.

Looking for info on players who made their NHL debut last season. Can anyone here tell me a bit about Adam Huska, like what role he played last season, what type of player he is and what his future outlook could be? Thanks!!
