Granato said it wasnt a big deal at all, so i think its something smaller than pot. Pot is kinda a big deal to hockey people.

I think the marijuana policy is vague. But when it comes to cocaine or anything "higher" it becomes suspendable. Look at Kuznetsov....

I like him as a prospect, but for context he's one of five guys on his team with between 10-13 points. So at the moment it's more of a team-wide breakout.

Not to mention it's J20....

If he were to play a couple of games for Frolunda at any point, it would be a successful season. Traverse showed that he's capable of playing at a high level of hockey.

strong play in the J20 is how he's gonna earn an opportunity with the big club...

He’s going to continue to prove me right, isn’t he?
if he was posting those numbers in the SHL, my hype-dar would be at full attention. Since it's just their minor league I'm not gonna get too excited. Nils on the other hand...
Also is Robertson injured? only played for 3 of 7 games. Although I could only find him on the score sheet for one game.

Keane and Gross. Those are the two guys I don't get. I mean I understand the attraction to Keane. He has some skill. I can see an NHL player there. But not an impact player by any means. I thought he was really underwhelming last year before and after the trade.

Gross sucks. I don't worry about stopping the clock with him. Let his rights expire. Same player two years in a row. He's good for nothing except bad penalties.

I didn't see much with Maser. Of the guys not on NHL deals, the only ones I'd consider signing (or drafting) would be Nick Jones, and maybe Ryan Dmowski if he has a strong year in Hartford. The rest were all pretty blah.
what's not to get? they are prospects that people are excited for. I don't get people thinking they are bonafide NHL players. Exhibit A, Ty Ronning. Keane is at the next level so if he has a great season in Hartford, his hype train will gain speed but we really just have to wait and see. Nico Gross is off to a fast start in the juniors this season but Gross has more steps to climb - namely going pro and showing his skill translating to that level, most likely in the AHL, and then in the NHL.

I think our blueline will be something like this in the 2020-2021 season.
Hajek-Trouba
Miller-Fox
Staal-Lundkvist

which leaves
Skjei-ADA to trades
and in the 2021-2022 season, one of these guys to replace Staal
Robertson, Rykov, Reunanen, Lindgren, Gross, Keane, Jones, Ragnarsson, Sjalin
the rest to busting or improving their trade value to bring new players/assets. Some players will take longer to develop, like you know, prospects. But big picture, I don't see how Gross is gonna muscle his way into our top 6. and I'm assuming Skjei and ADA get traded here. Miller and Lundkvist could each marinate an additional season either in their leagues or the AHL till the 2021 season.

I like Henriksson, I just have some notable concerns about him as a center in the NHL. His combination is a little different from what I'd typically look for when projecting a center in the NHL. That doesn't mean it can't or won't work, it's just off the beaten path a bit. Namely the size-skating combination.

He's not a bad skater by any stretch, but when you're looking at a guy who is 5'9, 180 pounds you typically look for skating that stands out to the point that he can overcome some of his size disadvantages. I'm not quite sure I see that at this point.

I've often said that Henriksson would be an ideal candidate for the type of skating seminars that Tampa utilizes. It's not necessarily about turning him into Pavel Bure, so much as it's about maximizing efficiency. I suspect that will have a significant impact on Henriksson's potential trajectory as a prospect.

I consider fortnite more detrimental than cannabis.

Did Trautwig and Miller meet during rookie camp? If Al was hooked on Fortnight back then, maybe he lured K’Andre into it? (just for the record, I have no sources, just speculating) If Trautwig had been playing it around the clock it would be explain his shaking when pre-season started and while Millet now is suspended. IF this is the case, I hope they can contain it, but would I count on it (Rykov? Robertson? Skjei?)?..

Robertson missed the first two games because he was in camp. Then he suffered a minor injury and was DTD last I heard.

Did Ola and Miller meet during rookie camp? If Miller was hooked on weed back then, maybe he lured Ola into it? (just for the record, I have no sources, just speculating) If Miller had been smoking blunts around the clock it would be explain his suspension when pre-season started and while Ola now is acting crazy. IF this is the case, I hope HF boards can contain it, but would I count on it (Edge? bernmeister? Thirty One?)?..

What do people think about the potential of Robertson and Jones? Heard Jones' coach said he was his second most talented player behind Kyle Connor.

If I remember correctly he was the ability to go back to the KHL in year 2 of his deal not year 1. I can't see the Rangers giving up on him when he barely has had a chance to play.
Maybe they feel there's a chance he's loaned back rather than playing it out in the AHL.
