That Berard goal reminds me of the weak-ass backhand goal Kasparaitis scored against the Leafs in '06. I've spent the last half hour trying to find a video of it, but have come up empty.

No, just saying that goal didn't get me excited. It's not the entire population but even as one data point, meh.
When he has played he has consistently gotten good ice time. Michigan does roll those lines most nights though, as the have an embarrassment of riches particularly at C with Beniers, Bordeleau, Brisson, Beecher, and Johnson. Beecher is listed as the 1C there and he's probably the worst of that group, LOL.

I'd say he has met expectations for a 7th rounder in his D+2. Nothing too flashy, nothing groundbreaking, but solid development

No. Coming in he was T-13th on the team in scoring. Michigan has a ton of talent offensively, he's basically JAG on that team. Doesn't mean he's bad or anything, but not really noteworthy, either.

Berard hit the post on a deflection on the PP and then promptly took a dumb Goalie Interference penalty to negate the PP.

Nothing for Berard today. He had his moments, but he and the rest of the Friars took their stupid pills before this game.
One of his teammates had the most egregious turnover during a providence PP that resulted in a SHG against that I've ever seen.

Best of luck to him. I never had high expectations for Gropp, but it's still disappointing how he ended up.
Yeah I think thats the pick that sealed the fate of who ever used to scout the WHL for the Rangers.
They should do the same thing with who ever wanted to pick Lindbom.
