It's not complaining if you want to see the team do better, even if they walk away with two points on the night.

Just getting the two points isn't enough in most cases.
Why isn’t it?!? Can you get more than 2 points in a game???
How do you feel when they totally dominate a team but lose and come away with 0 points, is that ok?
The name of the game is too win… period!!!

I'm sure the team just burns the game tapes after every win. Because they got the two points, there's no point in reviewing/improving on how they performed, right? Because they got two points, they must have played well for most of the 60 minutes, right?

You can tell which posters on here were fans through the dark ages and which weren't just by the tendency of some to complain after wins that apparently weren't decisive enough. We now have fans where the majority of their fanhood experience was spent with the Rangers perennially making the playoffs as opposed to perennially not. The team is 20-8-4. Enjoy it now because a decade of true Rangers underachievement is always just around the corner.

The NY Football Giants have decided to test that theory into a 2nd decade.

23 SOG. Same problem as always. We created nothing. We were gifted 2 goals by their backup goaltender. That's my point. This team creates nothing.

This team does not set itself up for continued success imo. There's little to no foundation/thought/planning into how they play... or at least that's how it looks like to me.

get open in scoring areas. Shoot in scoring areas. Have purpose in your movement instead of floating and puck watching

Weird game. Needed that win, but I feel weird about it.

I love how Panarin constantly tries weird shit mid game.

Thought Miller had a great game.

Igor Shesterkin.

Happy New Year HFR
Agreed. I voted for Miller also...

Was there 2 rows back of their bench right behind Stamkos and Cooper most of the game (wearing my new away white Foxy jersey)

K'Andre was very good on both sides of the ice. Very

Which is why I posted in the GDT that I was surprised by how the organization has made zero attempt to address any of the teams issues. Especially with all of the cap space. We’ve got to have close to 13mil with Blais on LTIR, no?

This is why you need the grinder types along with skill. The thing that I see is very little pressure in the offensive zone and when they do, the passing instead of shooting is to prevalent.
Shoot the puck, not look for the perfect pass and get someone in front of the net. To much east- west play
Perhaps that will change as the season rolls on

It looks so disjointed I don't know what the plan is. Dump and no chase? Perimeter possession? You still need to have a guy sliding into scoring positions. Puck movement is way too slow to help create lanes. Player movement doesn't create confusion/issues for the opposing team. We're easy to defend. Rarely if ever attacking

We're re-active not pro-active.... and it hurts to watch

Blow up that Chytil line. Talk about under performing and flailing. They had that hot start but couldn't buy a goal. Gauthier might be one of the worst finishers in the NHL. They SHOULD NOT be on the same line together. Spread them out. Break up the married couples.

100%. 2 points gifted to them last night. Terrible performance.

btw our offense has been on a down trend ever since Gallant took Kakko away from Strome and Panarin. Perfect example of over thinking a situation.

Panarin Strome Kakko was a legit and scary top line..... but it was broken up because 'it would help the team'.... it obviously hasn't. Bring it back.

Agreed. Didn’t vote for him, but he’s really growing into being a hell of a player. Sure he has his off days/plays but he’s a kid. he was fantastic last night.

One thing that was truly great last night was watching Hedman absolutely RIP his whole bench after that 2nd goal... I found it really amazing to see grown men cower at that moment. It was really stunning.

Also I thought that Shesty was literally trolling Hedman in the shootout... had his arms up... wasn't worried about a thing... barely needed to be ready...

Just a WOW moment for me

BTW, everyone's complaining but that 2011-12 team wasn't super deep either and had far less high end talent. They just did enough quite often and made the ECF with 109 points. I'm not a huge fan of that team but if this team is even close to as successful as that team this season would be a big success. I don't remember people whining near what they are now that season.

If we don't win a cup this year it's quite obvious why we won't. David Quinn and Libor Hajek. Just always blame them no matter what and you'll never be wrong. Why? Just because...

When you can’t generate offense throw a low shot at the net from the side boards occasionally. Generates decent rebound chances and can throw the tight D into havoc. Too many cycles end up at the point for blocked shots.

Fox looks slower and off his game a bit. He’s taken a few big hits recently, I guess the break wasn’t enough to fully recover.

PP looks pretty good generating about 2 grade A chances per PP but just having trouble finishing. Panarin’s fully screened stick shaft shot was oh so close to ending it in regulation. Our PP really covered our 5 on 5 warts earlier on but isn’t the case that much anymore.

Kakko is getting pushed around a bit along the boards but still making plays and making things happen despite that. You can see he’s still developing his man strength and balance, he’s gonna be a true beast in 1-2 years.

Laf with another tap in lol, good for him

This.

I know we joke about the "pass first" mentality but this team doesn't dictate ANYTHING

They'd rather deal it to someone else or be observers.

Been that way through different coaches, regimes, GMs, cultures, whatever

We're soft in every zone.

Need to change and I think it starts w Kakko (then flows to the rest of the youth)
