Kreider continues to play a great overall game. even when he doenst score he works teh boards well and he usually elads the teams in hits most games

looking at our season as a hole, kreiders play as a hole (with zucc) is such a major upsight, and something that gives me a positive outlook on our future...

Very true. also i expect JT Miller to take a big step next year like kreider and zucc did this year

Hope Allen continues to play well. They are obviously looking at moving a dman. They are looking for either McIlrath or Allen to be able to play now.

Nah J Moore is fine. His contract is not big ;)

You're right about the contract. Still, I've noticed that JM continues to be sloppy and careless (e.g., neglecting assignments or overcommitting to an assignment), but, more importantly, I haven't seen him "take that next step" -- and I'm starting to doubt that he will. Granted, I didn't / don't expect him to develop into Erik Karlsson, but his offensive output hasn't exceeded his defensive lapses or general mistakes.

The kid has potensial. He got good size, very good skating and is able to protect his teammates. He just needs to work on positioning. MDz on the on the other hand cant protect his teammates or Hank. He is also a small D. So he has to produce point or at least be a good stay at home D like Strålman.

Falk is big, but sloooooow. Still i like him, because he is so big. We need some size on D :)

Nash played well today.

Good to hear.

Just from the little I've seen, Hank made some amazing saves, Zuuc looked to be all over the ice...again. (this guy should be wearing an A imo), Kreider get himself in double digits in GS, and we seem to be getting seem signs of life from Poo.

Not a bad night.

I dont think JT is gonna be the type of point producer that Zucc and kreider are bt i do think he will be a decent 2nd line C

same..but having a potential 2c in the future coming up threw the system would be a reasonably good thing to hope for..

I'm tired of quietly thinking it, so I'm just gonna say it:

Zucc is the best player on this team.

Zucc and Kreider have been the two best forwards. Who would have guessed that this past summer?

Those two and McD are the only three Rangers that make this team worth watching.

yeah.. diddent zuc and mdc play in the minors together? remember reading he loved zucs girls taco dinner:) having such a talented d and kreider coming threw the system is a great thing! i dont know anything really about our future talents the later years.. i have been reading on this board... seeing these gys come up and zuc coming for free makes me think that our future cant be that bad

Just finished watching the game. I thought it was a good game overall though the first 15 minutes of the third period was awful.

Additionally I have to call out what I thought was absolutely awful coaching decisions by AV in the last 1:30 when he had both Richards and Boyle on the ice and then after the whistle Stepan and Boyle and neither time did he use Boyle on the faceoff. This made no sense (and Richards and Boyle are the same handedness so side isn't an excuse) as Boyle (and Moore) is by far our best faceoff man while Richards is basically league average and Stepan is absolutely dreadful.

One didnt even make the team to start the season, the other was wanted away from the team by a great deal, and even scratched.

Are there any other examples where seemingly inferior pieces suddenly dominate ?

In the last 40 minutes Hank looked like vintage Hank. It's an odd thing, through his struggles he has been noticeably just off. His timing looked like it was always a split second late, his confidence seemed shaken not only on every goal against but on ever shot and he was second guessing himself.

Tonight is hopefully his return to form. His timing looked excellent, he held his game together despite two quick goals against to give up the lead and he was making big saves. His third period was great.

Richards was 70% on faceoffs tonight. I guess AV just went with what was working at the time. Dunno about Stepan though.

Jesus christ do we need Staal + Stralman back. Hell, I'll take one of them.

DZ played his worst game of the season, easily.

John Moore should NOT play more than 20 minutes. He was awful too.

I get the feeling Allen isn't going back down. He seems like an AV type of player. He has a good first pass and can lead the rush, something we lack. He already played him more than Falk.

Our PP has been, just, wow. What a difference. Arniel, while I was not happy with the hiring originally, has been a godsend. This powerplay went from laughable, to almost deadly.

The Rangers made a lot of extra passes tonight, looking for the creative play. They exposed the inexperienced Lightning D a lot tonight. I feel like they came prepared to play.

Man, Hank needed a win. Glad he got one, played a great game.

They're not offensive powerhouses but the 4th line has been great.

Zuccarello is our best forward. Period. So much talent.

Stepan has been playing better lately, but he's not at 100% yet. Someone else mentioned it but he really needs to play a smart game because he's not physically able to make up for it.

Even without Stamkos, the Lightning are still one of the better teams in the NHL. So this is a win I was glad to get.

I thought Girardi has been playing better lately.

It's great that we won, but that third period was just awful. God awful. Gotta have at least SOME killer instinct.

All in all, pretty satisfying.

Holy crap, the Rangers have the #1 road PP in the league.

It sure has been fun to watch after the abominations we've been privy to under the Torts and Renney regimes. Crisp passes, smooth zone entry and letting the talent do what the talent does. I am starting to feel like AV is starting to put a good stamp on this team. Honestly, if Nash was healthy all year, Callahan wasn't a bag of glass now, and Lundqvist wasn't having the biggest slump of his career , this team would not be in the hole it is.
Also, the defensive lapses are rearing their ugly heads with less frequency, and the guys are looking a lot better , especially Dan Girardi!
I still have a glimmer of hope for this season , if only for the fact that the Entire East is a freakin abortion right now!

BTW, where was St Louis today? Was McDonagh primarily responsible for him? Seems like every star player magically disappears when they play against McDonagh.

Henrik could of had a shutout if he didn't let in 3 softies.

Please, save me the BS, he played a GREAT game.

I liked what I saw in Allen - good call up. Definitely more ready than The Reaper. (and I love that kid BTW)
