Hopefully a good confidence game. Hank played great for the first time in a while. Keep it moving and steamroll the panthers

Giving Hank the hat tonight, is like telling your wife those pants don't make her ass look fat

Even strength continues to be a problem for this team.

29th in the NHL in 5-on-5 goals scored (55). None tonight. Chicago has socred 107 skating 5-on-5.

Their PK has been bad lately. PPG against in five of last seven games.

It's too late in the season to fix these problems. The only way is to change the coach or change some players. AV isnt getting fired with the Rangers currently in 3rd place.

Del Zotto is the kind of player whose speed can make a difference at even strength. But he's a stupid player who is scared to take a hit to make plays and do something creative with the puck once he skates to the other blue line.

Hagelin and Kreider are their best players 5-on-5. No surprise they are also the fastest. They are also the only Rangers regular without a negative rating.

Speed. Get more of it.

Who would have though going into the year that our 2 best forwards would be Zucc and kreider. Both will be up for nice raises after the season

Hank saved the day. Zucc said it, Rosen said it and many posters on HF wouldnt mind giving Hank the hat/1st star whatever. Hank played like Hank and not like Budaj or any other **** goalie.

well what the **** do you know, you are Norwegian.....
oh

Hariken, take notes. At least Snowblind tries to be objective, he gives him props when he deserves it (like tonight).

Your hatred for Lundqvist is off the charts. How someone can get on him for his performance tonight is beyond me.

Wow, that was shocking. I probably wouldn't be in as good of a mood if we lost.

Cally will still get it if he can drag his peg leg out there when his name is called

He's gone out in a cast before.

Actually, it was a pretty cool moment. I was there. It was right after he broke his leg on the Chara shot. When they announced it, all of MSG erupted "CAL-LY! (stomp stomp) CAL-LY! (stomp stomp) CAL-LY". Dude came limping out in a suit and tie.

The Rangers went on to get ****-stomped by the Atlanta Thrashers in a pathetic 3-0 loss.

The award ceremony was the highlight of the night.

2nd: McDonagh
3rd: Purcell (TB)

Hmm...no Hank. But he got the hat, I think the players really wanted him to win this game :)

Good to see that even when we win and play a decent game people can find weird and wonderful things to get in arguments over

Hank was brilliant tonight.

Our defense makes swiss cheese look like the Gates of Troy.

The powerplay was brilliant, I still thought most of our forwards lacked any bite, or killer instinct.

I realize it used to be said in jest, but this team could use some more jam

Entertaining game with a positive outcome; for what more can you ask? Still, we desperately have to do something about our defense -- and there's no doubt that DZ (despite his pinpoint break-out pass) has to go; he's just too much of a defensive liability. The same goes for J-Moore; quite frankly I don't know who of the two is the greater liability.

Great to see Lundqvist play like himself. Hopefully this is the first step back to normalcy.

Hank deserves the 1st star. The first goal wasnt his fault. DZ screwed up as always and Moore is just braindead. Im just sick and tired of this socalled defense. The rangers should sign Jurcina. He sucks to, but at least he got a big body and Plays harder than MDZ and Moore.

Wasn't Nash's goal a 5 on 5 goal?

My take is that this team is still transitioning. Nice win.

It will be good to see either the main guys (Nash, Richy, etc.) step up and play like they're paid to or to see the coaching staff embrace the new guys like Zuccarello and Kreider wholeheartedly. It seems like this happened tonight. Like the "second-tier" guys got a shot on the PP and at the end of the game and their play really produced results.

For whoever called Richards "calm" in the main thread, I submit that crazy attempt at the empty net. He's not a leader. His head has persistently been up his *ss. Take his letter and buy him out.

That's not fair. He only missed the net because there's no lights in Tampa's cave.

You know, Richards is down the list of players that we should be ragging on, IMO. Not too far down, but there are far more disappointing players.
