I think Shesterkin will be good as Hank so I don’t think we’ll need another top end goalie for over a decade, we need a better backup I agree

Garand seems fine? Not saying they shouldn't keep taking some swings but in terms of pipeline progression they might still have something backup worthy will Wall or Huska given some more time and opportunity, and Garand has been a very good pick developing nicely
Any goalie drafted now will be 4+ years away anyways

Should we be giving credit to Gallant for finding a way to win? I feel like last year we were playing much better than this but gave up a bunch of unlucky goals and Igor wasn't nearly this sharp.

I personally wanted him signed for 8 years so badly if he'd do it. Didn't care if it cost like 7.5-8M a year. They'll be looking at a Vasilevskiy/Bobrovsky/Price type contract in a few years if they want to keep him.

Not true. Had one against Pittsburgh last year, I love Igor but probably every goal has those.

What made Henrik unique wasn’t necessarily his top end play- though his elimination performances were legendary. It was how consistent he was season to season.

So we are still tbd on that. Shesty might end up as more of a Quick or Miller who has a few lights out seasons and a few stinkers. That would be more typical for a star NHl goalie
