Adam Fox was the best defenseman in the NHL last year. It’s hard to believe but he has elevated his game this year. The give and go with Panarin covered over 100 feet! Just an incredible play.

Fox is not just the best defenseman in the league, he is on the cusp of being the best player in the league.

Agreed. I’ve been a big time Trouba detractor but he’s been great this season.

Honestly amazed at the results so far given the poor play we’re getting out of pretty much all of our top end forwards.

This team is on a Canadiens like playoff run to start the season. Can it last 8 more months?

Panarin sets up the GWG because he skated. Zibs has been bad. Our centerplay has been bad, especially in our zone and the neutral zone.

Our top4 is really good. We need a PMD on the 3rd pair

I need Schneider and Jones. I can't handle any combination of Nemeth, Tinordi and Lunk. Even Hajek would've gotten wrecked tonight

@Embryo so i went back and watched the goal. Panarin made a nice play by curling, which he does about 50 times a game, didnt deke anyone though and finds Fox who drags the puck around the defender and places a perfect shot inside the pipe. Still not sure we were watching the same play..

We found a way to win, and by 2 goals, so that is pretty acceptable for me. How many times does this team have to come out in the third period from behind after playing 2 bad period to prove they can just turn it on and win when they feel like it, because thats what has been happening.

But they didn't really turn it on in the 3rd. They were marginally better and had one great play that they scored on.

Goodrow has made his money in the final 5 minutes of tight games. Finishing these games as wins is vital for playoff positioning later, and Goodrow has "it" when it comes to doing everything he can do lock down a win. It's refreshing to see.

I usually don't criticize the team after a win and call out people that do but that effort was unacceptable. That said the reason you get guys like Fox and Panarin is so that in games like this they win you games on one skilled play.

That's basically it. One good play from a hookup between insanely talented players. Seattle has 20 jabronis trying to get a goal via battering ram

Saved the game on the tanev all alone in front chance caused by inability of Kakko to get puck out.
