We had chances to score the 5th goal and could not bury it. Our PP was brutal again.

Yes the refs messed up, but we had chances to win and we didnt

Except we weren't playing the ****ing Buffalo Sabres. We had chances, but once in a while the other goalie will make the save, or the PK will make a play, when you're in the SC Finals. When the refs give the other team 2 free goals when teams are evenly matched it's pretty hard to win, even if it's possible.

I doubt this series is over.... If the kings continue playing like this they aren't going to win games.

People aren't taking this into account.

That horrendous blown call completely changed the whole complexion of the game.

I still cannot figure it out. Pouliot's call was a penalty, but not Dwight King's???

At the absolute LEAST it should've been no goal, incidental contact.

Earlier in the playoffs:

Waived off. King was directly interfering with Hank's ability to make a play on the puck, while in the crease. Being pushed in is irrelevant when it comes to this call. It 100% should've been no goal, incidental contact on King.

It just sucks because it gave LA almost an entire period to tie the game up, with all the momentum behind them and the Rangers furious about the call on the third goal in the back of their minds.

Not to mention they score the GWG in OT on the very next shift after they should've had an automatic delay of game penalty. That dumb linesman emphatically banging the glass when the puck seems to have cleared the glass by at least a foot, not hitting anything on the way. Of course LA scores right after that, that's how things work in hockey. Get a break, score a goal.

NEED TO WIN 2 STRAIGHT AT MSG. Hank was solid tonight (not even close to blaming him AT ALL), but he can't give up 5 goals again in this series. Period.

I doubt this series is over.... If the kings continue playing like this they aren't going to win games.

And if we continue playing games like this, neither will we.

This series is over. We just ran into the worst possible luck, at the worst possible time. But hey, that's what being a Rangers fan is all about. :shakehead

Sometimes good teams get momentum when they get a break and score in the 3rd period at home. All this talk about our 3rd periods, those were literally the only periods that we didn't outplay these overrated losers. They needed ****ing 3 game 7s, to come back from 3-0 down, from 3-2 down, and should have blown a 3-1 lead. If they win, they'll be by far the worst SC winner in history. What an overrated team. We were supposed to get annihilated, meanwhile they played 2 good periods in 2 games.

It was 4-3 after the blown call. We could not close out. Period.

Only difference was Montreal was home there. I said earlier if Rangers are home the goal is waved off.

Seriously, if people didn't know the score and watched these 2 games, who would think that the Kings are the better team? They would think they have some good spurts once in two periods. But they've looked like the worse team easily. That's what sickens me. 2-0 is such *********.

Oh look at you all ****ing unbiased. Who cares what the score was? The ******** goal gave them momentum and even if you don't want to take away the 4th goal that was a total product of momentum, it would have likely ended 4-3. I don't care that it was 4-3 after the blown call. Without it we win most likely.

This is why I'm even more pissed off. The haters will ignore how we've playing, but only look at the fact that we're down 0-2 and that they were right all along.

We could very well be up 2-0. Realistically, should be 1-1.

I'm upset at the ref not calling interference as well, but we lost our composure after that. We were still in the lead. We haven't blown two 2 goal leads, we have blown FOUR 2 goal leads.

So upsetting, because when we were watching the Kings/Blackhawks we all were saying "man these teams can't play defense!" and then we play exactly the same way.

Our defense has really let us down in this series, and will probably cost us the cup. You CANNOT blow a 4-2 lead in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals going into the 3rd period, you simply just cannot do it.

I blame everyone, a total team collapse. I don't want to hear about ****ing L.A. being so resilient either. WE ****ING BLEW IT.

We were supposed to show the hockey world how good our defense was, and we have failed miserably. L.A. is not losing 4 out of the next 5.

What is going to suck the most is watching Gaborik skate around with the cup. But it's all good, because I love Brassard and I'd rather have him anyway than Gaborik. But it's still going to hurt. I still remember Gaborik's triple OT winner against the Caps 2 years ago, and it hurts that he's on the other side now, in the finals, and scoring against us. Oh well.

I'm proud the team made it this far. It just sucks that everything had to go wrong for us in the finals. I guess it wasn't meant to be, the hockey God's are not in our corner this year guys. It is what it is.

What can you say? Tip your cap to L.A. 2 cups in 3 years is a great achievement. No shame in losing to a team like that. NO shame at all.

It hurst though, because it's gonna be a long time before we get back here. Lundqvist won't be around anymore. But hey, it was a heck of a ride.
Knock it off! This series is far from over.

To be down 2-0 when it's very conceivable that we could be up 2-0 is really annoying. Damn but we had some great looks in both the OT periods, CK had the game on his stick twice.

I'm not sure what I'm madder at, our inability to close out a game or the horrible officiating.

Regardless of the outcome of the next 5 games, it's certainly a lot more fun watching the SCF when your team is in it, no matter what the result. Hopefully this is this just the first of a series of trips to the big dance.

Looking forward to game 3, we've shown we can play at the same level as one of the best teams in the comp, lets hope we finally get on the board

Kings had more than double the amount of turnovers we did (33-15, and 51-25 for the series), we just can't capitalize on their mistakes like they've been able to on ours. Also, we actually out hit the kings this game (51-50). So much for the rangers not being able to match their physicality.

I worry about this, simply because the rest of the east will be better next year.

The Islanders will be better, guaranteed. The Capitals will most likely be better under Trotz. The Penguins will probably be better with a new coach. Montreal is on the up swing, Philly will be better, Toronto will probably be better, Tampa will be better. Bruins will remain elite.

None of that is guaranteed. For all you know, Mason and Bishop aren't as consistently good next year as they were this year. You can't just assume all progress will be linear for every team and player.

Have you ever played sports in your life? Do you understand what momentum is? FYI, their fourth goal should have been a NYR power play!

Here's the thing though: Bad calls are always going to happen. Championship teams though, will find a way and overcome. They will do whatever it takes to win the game.

Instead, after the blown call, we collapsed. We imploded. That's not the mark of a championship team, I'm sorry. A championship team says after a blown call "Lets buckle down, stay calm, and close this sucker out". Instead, the Rangers let it get to them, and they blew the game.

I hate the refs too, but we have no one to blame for being in a 2-0 hole but ourselves. Horrible turnovers after 2 goal leads, inability to score a timely goal...the list goes on and on. That's why L.A. is about to win their 2nd cup in 3 years. Because they know how to overcome adversity and don't get down on themselves.

When L.A. went down 3 games to none they just went out and took care of business. I don't see this Rangers team doing that. When L.A. scored to make it 4-3 the Rangers choked. End of story.

I don't think you know what you're talking about! The Rangers controlled play for 6 out of the 8 periods and could very easily be up 2-0! At the very least 1-1, if not for ******** incompetent officiating!

Let's assume that your premise is correct and the team collapse, the fact that the third goal should have been waived off due to goaltender interference and the forth goal was scored on a play that should never have happened due to a delay of game penalty that the four blind mice missed, yet again! It's hard enough holding leads in the Stanley Cup Finals, but I assure you, it's 100% harder when the officials hand the other team goals and opportunities!

There is no proof that had they called that goal off the Kings score their next goal, there is also nothing that says they don't score 6 more if it's not allowed.

6 of 8 periods? And the 2 periods we were outplayed were the 2 MOST IMPORTANT PERIODS.

We deserve to be down 2 games to none. When you blow four yes FOUR 2 goal leads in the Stanley cup finals, you don't deserve to win anything. A disgrace.

One bad call doesn't erase the disgusting turnovers we have had up by 2 goals. Nor does it excuse the fact that NOONE STEPPED UP in either overtime despite the fact L.A. looked tired and gassed. NOONE could come up with a timely goal.

If the Rangers are truly the better team, they will find a way to overcome this 2 game deficit and win the series. Somehow, I don't see that happening. Not when you blow four 2 goal leads in the most important games of your hockey life.

We shat the bed on the biggest stage of them all, lets call it like it is. I am already focused on the off season moves at this point. The one positive from all of this Brad Richards being absolute horse ***** in these finals, making the decision to let him go very, very easy for Glen. I never want to see him on another Rangers power play as long as I live.

We lost. Take it like a man. Blaming the refs only makes it hurt worse. Own up to the fact that OUR TEAM HAS CHOKED so far in these finals. Big time.
