best part of this game was seeing matt martin skate away from reaves in the dying seconds of the game with his tail between his legs, he was scared sh&tless when Reaves gave him that look.
then off the face off martin skated the hell away from reaves lol

That is one thing he definitely never did but then again when you have Jeff Beukeboom as your partner, you don’t have too
I used to run a store in Newmarket Ontario and Beuk was a 15yr old attending school there and playing as a Tier 2 Junior with Newmarket Flyers .....he would come into the store once a week . I also attended all the games . He was a great kid and eventually moved onto the OHL and then the NHL . It was great watching them win in 94 when you could kind of connect to somebody on the ice . We never kept in touch but I was mildly surprised when his son Brock came to play with our local University hockey team a few years back.....sad that Beuk had his career ended with a cheap shot from behind by that thug . I think another future Ranger also played with that same junior club that season , Jeff Jackson...who scored 5 goals in a nine game Ranger stint before a trade to the Nords along with Carkner for Shaw and Ogrodnick .

I can't stand Martin.....

No offense but this is total bunk. Martin is afraid of Reaves like he would be of a toothless chihuahua. The dude fought Chara knowing he would get his ass kicked and did. He gains nothing fighting Reaves there and Vice versa.

Reaves hasn't sent a message all season and hasn't needed to. The message was sent to Pageau.

Reaves was staring him down, hoping for eye contact

I pretty much only watch the Piles when they play the Rangers, but I thought Barzal was a mess last night. Don't know if he's trying to do to much or what, but he looked really bad last night. Which I enjoyed.

Got the same vibes as with EP in Vancouver. They know they are on broken teams and their future is elsewhere.

I don't know how to link the post but this is the dream I was referring to about Fox. Not the same player and not the same dirty move but everything else is the same. From the GDT. @Raspewtin

Also I had a dream that Evan Rodrigues shot the puck at Igor after the whistle blew and Fox jumped him and gave him a nasty beating so hey that could be a sign

Would be absolutely thrilled with RR as captain as long as he’s a regular. And I imagine the lockerroom would be fine with it too.

I feel confident in saying the Isles are done

That team is in for a world of hurt the next few years
How long before Barzal is on the market?
Would Laffy and Lundqvist do it?
Let the Islanders deal with his young growing pains.
We get Barzal we could be winning a Cup really soon.
I know, I know.......dont bother poo pooing me.

I love.... LOVE Rooney Goodrow Reaves

It's sad to say but the team is better with Goodrow on the 4th.

Need to put Hunt with Mika's line. That might be the spot to upgrade to a high energy top9 guy. Garland/Hagel/Rodrigues etc.
I seriously dont want to pat myself on the shoulder, but......
I did suggest Goodrow on the 4th, I think the game PRIOR to Gallant doing such. I criticized Goodrow for having no offensive talent. Hmmm.
Does ANYONE remember my post? Anyone read my posts? Lol

Kreider just does everything the right way. Really feels like he should have had the C since last year.
Yet another prediction of mine......like 3 years ago? I won't rest, until that happens.
Cant everyone see HOW he's been working towards that? IMO, he is the most respected amongst his teammates. Reavo is a newcomer and respected as well, BUT Kreider is longest tenured and has been through EVERYTHING with this team over the years.
His consistency, has finally arrived........gee, I wonder why. BECAUSE he wants it, and sees the light of that glistening CUP with his name on it.

you're welcome
How about "the look" that bald guy gave? Lmao funny.

38-9-11 is the combined record of the teams we have LOST to.
Consisting of Flames (2x), Caps and Hurricanes. Hmmmm.
Canes with only 9 goals in their last 4 games. Hoping Flyers beat them, while we take care of Boston...........not "care". A good ole' fashioned Boston BEANTOWN BEATDOWN.

Martin isn't nearly as tough as he thinks he is.

If he was captain material to this organization, wouldn't they have done that by now? They waiting to give him the C and retire his jersey on the same day or what?

I said it too. My iteration had Goodrow, Reaves, and I think, Blais on the fourth line. But it wasn’t a fourth line because those players are bad. It was a Crash line for Gallant to use as a legit weapon. I had the young guys, Chytil and Kravtsov on the third line with Kreider as a match-up scoring line. And I had Gauthier on the top six. Rooney and Hunt were my spares. Obviously I understood Rooney. What a find. He didn’t show half last year of what he has shown this year.
