Jones is the one that stings for me. The Rangers seem to have this idea that he would be abused in the playoffs, so instead we're playing defensemen who could not possibly be any more abused than they have been.

It's not just us, of course. NHL coaches really have this "so I don't get bit in the ass, I'll bite myself in the ass first" outlook.

I think Jones is very much in the future plans. We all love his skillset, but sending him right into a competitive playoff series after only 12 sporadic NHL games this year would not have ended well, especially considering his size. Even Schneider who has been a lineup staple had his bumps along the way. I dont blame Gallant for going with Nemeth over him to start the series, and I commend him for decisively sticking with Braun once Lindgren was back.

Jones will be a mainstay next year imo

They better be adjusting the PP to counteract Carolina's aggression

Quick and crisp puck movement isn't our strong suit.

I was looking to get tickets in Carolina for game 2 but apparently you cant buy tickets through ticket master for a Carolina home game unless you are from Carolina or Virginia

I explained, in my opinion anyway, what they need to do about this, earlier in the thread.

Unfortunately, many ignorant small market organizations who cannot sell out their arenas with home fans do this when they play teams with fans who will travel.

That's a bummer if true. ACL is 6-8 months. He was hurt mid-November but did not have surgery until mid-December. We are 6 months since injury and 5 months since surgery.

Stinks because having him back with Motte on that 4th line would be something. Really hoping we can retain both for next year. Goodrow centering them.

Apparently you need a NC, SC, or Southern Virginia billing zip code to buy tickets to the Canes' home games. Effort to stop scalpers or effort to stop Rangers fan invasion?

I said this before the bubble and I’ll say it again now. This series will live or die with our stars, not because our bottom 6 couldn’t handle it.

If they can't grab one in Carolina I think this should be the move. Hopefully Goody comes back soon. That's what we need most.

Fast, Fun Trivia Fact:

Only three other times in HFNYR history have the "Mania" brothers posted in the same thread. @Amazing Kreiderman

What is wrong with this guy?

Dropped on his head as a child maybe?

I mean, just objectively wrong.

He can't stand his co-worker who's a Rangers fan. It escalated from there

This is good for us though. Everyone he's going for is losing

This bodes well for us.

Despite how it looks... he's not dumb. He gains all the small markets with championing them while making New York, the biggest market, hate follow him.

Modern day PR - social media whoring

He's trying to be the Rangers' version of Stephen A. Smith hating the Cowboys.

go on.....

Carolina PK loves to double-team the initial entry or first pass back to the point. Most PPs want to get the puck back to the point quickly. Whether we're carrying it in or throwing it in, the puck needs to get deep. Accept that there will be an initial scrum, some seconds might come off the clock, and sacrificing the body will be needed to win that initial puck battle. Win the puck and get it back to the point, and the PKers might peel off and form their box, which ironically enables some room to set up. On the entry, if the puck only reaches the half wall, our guy is going to get double-teamed by the Canes' two pincer-like PKers up top.
