Thanks for your services Lavi. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Well at least you gave him a fair chance. It has been a few hours. Glad you did not rush to fire him. Thanks for your services Lavi. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.

Some choice excerpts from a recent article: Why Peter Laviolette Is a Good Fit as the Rangers' Next Head Coach
Basically, Gallant tried to make us dump and chase and we aren't built that way. The author thinks Laviolette will try and get the team to be more of a rush offense but it will be an uphill battle since our defenders, other than Fox, don't really play that way and we are so bad at exiting our defensive zone.
I don’t know. I saw Mika djing at practices. How more engaging can it get?Brooks new article points out that one of the players complaints about Gallant was that practices weren’t engaging enough. Definitely something I speculated about often last season so the validation is nice.
Also, boy am I glad he’s gone after hearing that.
That's my feeling. We could do way worse, but probably way better too.Eh, could fail miserably, could work out. Uninspiring but will give it a shot.

Doug WeightMitch Love would be an excellent hire for Lavy's staff
I can't remember another #39 in Rangers history...
Not to be a duck but when I think of skilled puck handlers Alexis is not who I have in mind, lol. I’m not going to discredit the authors piece on that alone, but it does lead me to believe that he must be watching a different team than I am based on who he’s labeling as a skilled puck handler. Some choice excerpts from a recent article: Why Peter Laviolette Is a Good Fit as the Rangers' Next Head Coach

Kathryn Tappan dumped him. That was enough for me.Why is Jay Leach the common “young, innovative” coach people wanted? None of you knew who he was 2 months ago and no team hired him anyway lol. Congrats on the Kraken for winning a round in the playoffs though I guess

If they don’t win, almost zeroOver under odds on Laviolette completing all 3 years of the contract.
some agree, some disagreeI don't think it's about "favor the vets" or not. The kids played a ton of minutes 5v5 last year and they shouldn't be on the powerplay right now, sorry.
We need to get more out of the kids. We need to get more out of the vets. We don't get enough quality play out of the roster we have. That's the issue and it doesn't really break along age lines imo.
Maybe it's the roster. This is the the third coach this roster and front office will have and I think it will be telling.
Jones should get a shot thenSome choice excerpts from a recent article: Why Peter Laviolette Is a Good Fit as the Rangers' Next Head Coach
