Kreider
Moore

HM to Hank for making the saves he needed to.

Great game. Need to tighten up some of the mistakes they were making in the 2nd period; but otherwise, very happy with how the team played. Montreal WILL push back on Monday - and the Rangers better be ready for that.

Also, for those wondering about Brassard: Vigneault just said in his post game interview that he is "Day-to-day". Was a bit cheeky about it though, so not sure that means much of anything. Clearly didn't want to reveal much at all. Doesn't seem like it is either terrible news or really good news. Big loss if it lasts for more than a few games. :( Hope he can make it back quickly.

If you guys win the series I hope you guys silence those who believe only boston can compete vs the west.

You guys played way better than Boston. A different style but better.

Good game, if not great game(for NYR). I hope my habs don't **** the bed again though!

I believe we already have one foot in the SCF.

Why? Because we're much faster. The Habs ended up on their heels and took a ton of penalties, and we scored on the PP.

And now we got a huge momentum :)

They have 0 answer for Kreider. It's as simple as that. Need to keep exploiting speed through the neutral zone. They will certainly adjust, and we need to follow suit.

Hope it's just a stinger for Brassard, because that's a big loss (obviously).

Huge to get a game in Montreal. Home ice is ours. Maybe we'll finally make one easy on ourselves? :sarcasm: ... Yeah right :(

Thanks. I hope Price is healthy. Hopefully he was pulled mostly because it was 4-1 and not the injury.

I think he is ok. If Price was injured in any way he would have been in the locker room getting treatment not sitting his sorry ass on the bench.

Completely wrong attitude to have. And the Rangers better not think at all like you - or the many other fans thinking like that during the game. It was one game.

If anything, the Habs had that same attitude you're showing after beating the Bruins; and look at what they showed up with today. One game. That is all it was. Continue that level of play for the rest of the series and don't take the foot off the gas.

They will if Prust breaks his wrist

7 different goal scorers....now that's offensive depth.

Of course Nash would score the seventh goal of the game on the PP against Peter Budaj. Hopefully it gets him going.

Win at the Bell Centre.

PP works.

Nash scores.

Not sure if serious.

I have faith this team does not share that attitude.

You worry too much.

Like many, I suspected that the aggregate score in total would do well to exceed 9 goals, but to score 7 in a totally comprehensive victory was way beyond what any of us would have thought possible going into this game.

What we have to remember here though, it's only one game, we've embarrassed them in their own house, so they'll be looking to salvage some pride in game 2, we need to be ready to match, and in some cases, exceed the intensity levels we'll face in game 2.

Disagree completely with this. You guys have this in the bag, you should relax a bit! In fact, you probably wanna rest that Kreider guy for a few games, get him ready for the SCF.

Put your legs up, Rangers, grab a beer, chill out and coast!!

:sarcasm:

No doctor but Brassard not returning for 55+ minutes of a hockey game seems more than just a stinger to me.

If he's out for a game or longer, I'd go to Miller to center that 3rd line. Personally, I think Miller could take Brassard's spot quite effectively without that line having much of an offensive drop off whatsoever. Just my opinion though.

Great game by everyone on the Rangers.

I don't think Montreal necessarily played their worst game. Henrik made timely stops and quelled any chance for them to gain momentum throughout the game.

"Classy" habs fans want Kreider taken out in game 2. I think they are too small though plus Prust tried it and CK laughed in his face

Thus was part of the reason those of us in favor of trading for MSL gave to make the deal. One of the top three lines is going to get a chance to face the 3rd pairing of the opposition. It's why they've been able to weather the storm of Nash's slump.
