As a dad to relatively young kids I don't get to watch every Rangers game. The fact that I was viewing that night live when Sam said "We're available to consume... the pizza," is like a life highlight of mine.
Avs fans are salty because he's easier to point on at hate than Girard and Makar after their team got embarrassed vs Vegas (Graves got similar hate, though he was probably the worst of the group.)
Red Wings fans haven't seen a good defenseman since Lidstrom left.
Not sure if I see Nemeth as a big improvement over Smith. He is a little stronger defensively.
Yeah, but this is one of the reason it’s worthless to play a LHS on the right side. Super easy play if he is a RHS there. OTOH, he should have done it better, but…

Just spoke to a couple of my buddies that are Detroit fans. They said he is absolutely awful. Staal is way better. When I told one of them 2 year deal @ $2.75, his exact response was "Oh dear" Never heard him say dear. I'm very worried.

Ok, here we go... this can't be true.
Marc Staal was like really the worst defenseman in the league, except Jack Johnson.
Now we have employed the THREE worst defensemen in the league the last 3 years?
I'm beginning to think this is hyperb0le.

I do remember '94, but yeah, since then..... there's been a lot of periods I just tuned out.
The past decade or so I've been pretty locked in though. My oldest turned 5, think he's ready to start going to some games live soon.
I hope that there isn’t some brain dead analytic reasoning behind this signing. If it’s more than 1 year I think that it’s pretty brain dead.
I'm sure those father son trips will be amazing regardless of the success we will or won't have. You have a lot to look forward to.
Anyone who has watched the 2 of them and says Staal is better is not someone’s whose opinion is take to heart.
I think Nils much rather have someone that could stand up for him on the ice than someone who at most can help him order at a restaurant…

I think it would have been easier for the LHS shot there. He should have taken the puck around the net and with it on his forehand, would have hopefully made a better pass.
Give kudos to the forechecking of the VGK there, Marchessault was on the puck and Smith was on the near boards and Karlsson was on the far boards...there were no easy outlet passes available.
Just as long as Nemeth doesn't introduce Nils to his wife Crystal, I'll be fine.

Ehhh and Rangers fans told Detroit fans that Marc Staal was the worst defenseman in the league last year, right? And yet Detroit fans think this guy is the worst? It's almost like fans are unrealistic in their evaluations of their own players.
If I had a dime for every time a fan base mischaracterized their player, I have a lot of f***ing dimes.
