We live in a world where Marc Staal just signed for 2 for 2.
2 for 2.25 is a bargain.
It certainly is a crazy world we live in, my friend.

Keep pushing it, it'll be the AHL next!
You're kinder than I am.
He's like a quarter step away from JT Miller's manservant in my eyes.
Nemeth is generally fine. He’ll do this though.
Marc Staal was arguably better than Nemeth last year.We live in a world where Marc Staal just signed for 2 for 2.

Landeskog to the Rangers too? They are pals him and NemethIf Grubauer put any effort into getting back into position that puck doesn't even end up in the net, regardless of Nemeth's gaffe.
We were looking for a 3LD, that's what Nemeth is and he will be solid in that role and have a role on the PK. Not sure why some people are reacting like this is a bad pickup. Other teams' fans always shit on the Rangers so not sure why that would impact how anyone here feels about it. Colorado fans wanna hate on him bc he played poorly vs Vegas? Okay sure, that's fair, but remember their whole D corps played like ass in that series.
Getting a veteran LD who can be a stop gap and play a 3rd pairing role and he's also Swedish so he can help Nils adjust? How is that bad?

Because he's bad at hockey and people would greatly prefer the Rangers not give multi year deals to players that are bad at hockey.Getting a veteran LD who can be a stop gap and play a 3rd pairing role and he's also Swedish so he can help Nils adjust? How is that bad?
Marc Staal would have still been here if we were only paying him 2m.
Is Gallant the type of evaluator who looks at his 6 best defense men whoever they are and play them??
Sounds like the Swedish SmithHe’s definitely defense first, and he plays a rugged game. He’s just prone to very bad decisions. He’s definitely a stay home, physical bottom pair vet. Overall solid as well, but he will have this board screaming at their tv’s at least a dozen times this season.
He's the version of Kevin Klein that we saw in his decline or just Jack Johnson normal. Nemeth is really bad. All the people hyping up this signing will be the first ones complaining about him on the game day threads. The dude flat out sucks. He'll be in the press box before the ASG.
Like I said I used to watch him all the time when he played for the Stars. Dude is a turnover machine.
Smith at his peak 5-6 years ago, yes.Sounds like the Swedish Smith
Warm body; knows how to skate; isn't Marc Staal at $2M: checks all the required boxes for his role this season.
Solves the, need a meh vet defensemen that if a rookie can't beat out he shouldn't make the team. Same as JJ. No problem for it... if the kids play better he can be the 7th D. If not, they aren't ready.
If that is the case, I am more than happy. Regardless, I think the most important thing is how this helps Nils. I am all for Nemeth if playing with Nils helps him blossom. More than worth it.Smith at his peak 5-6 years ago, yes.
That Buch trade makes me skeptical of literally every move Drury makes. He lost all of his credibility with it.
Not based on what Red Wings and Avs fans are saying. Avs fans are glad hes gone and Red Wings fans were glad to be rid of him.what was he 23 24 back then? He’s become a very solid defender
