Because pro sports teams don't throw games?
Well....yeah but you can give Keumper and a few others a rest. Normally I wouldn't think like this but with the salary cap thing and all is Vegas taking too much advantage of rules like Tampa Bay did.

great game - giving a rare vote to Chytil - he was moving out there
Tuba with some nice plays

Good for George and KK - they've had it rough for a while

for the love of god chytil needs to stay healthy. He may not be the teams 2C of the future but he could be a dang good 3C with the right linemates but every damn time he starts getting hot he gets hurt

Him healthy into the playoffs would help the depth a lot

Then again, Gallant has to give that line some trust

Biz saying he would take the Penns over us everytime.

It's hilarious to me Biz even has that job considering that anyone who listens to Chiclets will hear him admit multiple times per episode that he doesn't even follow the league that closely and that no one should ever rely on him for his opinions on the NHL.

Not a very exciting game and place sounded like a morgue but they did what they had to do which is win and no injuries. Nice to see Kakko score 2. 2nd in division is virtually locked up. It's basically an 8 point lead because they own first tie breaker which is regulation wins. We still have an outside shot at the division with 1 more against Carolina.

Absolutely no reason for Fox to get that many minutes and Chytil and Kakko getting the shaft.

It’s the PP time that is skewing the TOI. PP1 had 3 and a half minutes of PP time. If you look at the EV time, Panarin’s line got the most, and Zibanejad’s line and Chytil’s line were about even.

I am not Georgie's biggest fan but you have to give him credit for this game and the one against Carolina. If he could play at or near this level consistently I would want to keep him if we could afford him. He is raising his trade value otherwise.

He has shown some real promise again. That said, I don’t think there’s a way the rangers can get any value for him at this point. They can’t afford to tender the QO so they’ll have to let him walk for nothing. It is what it is.
Sometimes these things just don’t work out, unfortunately.

Someone correct me if I’ve got the QO thing wrong though.

Im loving Chytil's game. Keeping it simple, straight lines, good puck support at both ends and skill when the opportunity arises. The kid can motor. And that pass to Kakko was filthy.

Agree about Strome. He's in a bad spell. He's throwing blind passes all over there place and can't hit the net.

Strome never takes the puck to the net. And he often skates it wide and throws a blind pass into the slot…that regularly becomes an odd man rush the other way for the opponent.
Not to mention all the gratuitous penalties.
Crikey.
