Yea you can trade him before the deadline and let the team either qualify him or sign him to a multi year contract.

Brooks talked about it today how a team might offer the Rangers something for his rights instead of letting him not be qualified by the Rangers and becoming a UFA, thus being allowed to then talk to every team as a UFA.

I hope they can do that. I can’t envision them actually offering the QO. It’s too risky. I could see a market for him at 2/$3m or so. But locked-in @$2.5m per, i don’t think there are many takers. Rangers might have to keep him at the expense of a solid bottom six guy.

Would really love for him to crack 100 points. Way more than I'd want to see Kreider break the goal record.

He's got 89. He needs 11 points in 7 games to make 100.

Sadly my guess is no, but would love to see it. Feel like 100 is a hallmark.

2.650 is a high price for a lot of teams, but there's also a lot of teams looking for a goalie that can afford it on the short term. I think it all depends on what happens with the goalie market. Do Caps make one available? Is price potentially moving? Fleury?

At this point I think asking for anything significant is long gone when it comes to Georgiev. So we're probably looking at trading his rights away, unless a bigger package is in the works.

We don't even need them to hit sky high expectations. If Chytil can be a 40 pt 3C, Kakko a 50 pt 2RW, and Laf a 60 pt 1RW we are in good shape 9assuming those totals are without PP1 time).

Scoring is up in the NHL, would like more than that (duh). When does a #1&#2 OA settle for those type #'s? We shouldn't, we need more than that.

If those pt totals are all at even strength it is fine. If Laf is on PP1 then year I expect him to be PPG or better.
