Tortorella says he won't call Sinday an elimination game.

I hate this ****ing guy. **** the two wins they got. Wish they would have gotten swept. Maybe we would have seen this guy gone.

Hey Torts - SUNDAY IS AN ELIMINATION GAME you jerk off

Waitaminute. If he acknowledges that it is an elimination game, then maybe they play with desperation and heart to grind it out for a win. What a weird statement.

Torts should of just came out and said he won't this loss ruin his weekend. If we lose Sunday I doubt it'll ruin his Mother's Day either.

I did.

2nd was bad, third was a disaster. Point is they are perfectly capable of coming back in this series and even if they don't, its not like they're losing to Florida. These have mostly been close games with a slight edge to Washington. Which is a team that could probably make it to the ECF if they went through.

Fair criticism and outbursts of anger and passion are fine, but this "world is ending" mentality that are displayed by some is just over the top and not fair to the team.

Washington to the ECF?

No, it's our ineptitude and incompetency that is making Washington look like All-Stars. I don't see Washington going through Boston. Boston hits, they get chippy, don't have problems scoring goals, don't take a period or two off, and they score on the PP.

I disagree, I thought the Caps dominance started after they had those flurry of chances to end the first period.

I don't see it. We came out and played OK to start the 2nd. Period was even until that ******** call. Look, I am not blaming Boyle at all. Far from it. I'm blaming the team mentally breaking after that horrendous joke of a call. They need to be mentally stronger. But that goal definitely deflated them for the rest of the game until OT.

Won't ever happen. He will be here his entire career. The players around him are the only thing that need changing.

They have changed, literally all of them since his rookie season, IIRC.

I'm not sure they'll ever get it right before he retires.

Exactly.

"Nah, don't worry guys, it's just one game, not your season on the line or anything. Go out and have fun!"

I think the Nash "half spin-o-rama" is proof enough that he's playing hurt. Or at least not 100%. He had done that move in the regular season as well, but not EVERY time like he's doing now. Other times, he'd make his patented power move to the net, something he has not done once this series. A Rick Nash at 100% makes that power move. A Rick Nash at 80% or less even? Not making that move, maybe he doesn't have the burst. I suspect we see news about Nash's groin come the end of the season.

Hope Clowe is okay, but if not I hope Kreider gets plugged back in. Think Torts might go with Newbury though to get a center on that fourth line.

No. That's what every other coach in the league would do to get his players fired up. It's different in NY.

Well, Lundy is wasting his prime years in New York. He's gonna have to make his decision very soon.

I say this after a win or loss
Torts must go and I hope the door doesn't hit him in his butt on the way out

It would make me so happy to hear Henrik threaten to leave unless Torts is fired. Might be our only chance at this point.

Championship: That's EXACTLY what I'd say... go out there and have fun... just play... he said it to the traded guys here.... they need to start breaking the chains.

Take a look at when the dominating started. It started after they scored the tying goal. This team was just sunk by that and it completely tilted the ice to the Caps. We had a really solid 1st period, the 2nd started out OK but after that call? Complete domination. Was almost hard to watch at times.

I think we win this game if it's on home ice, to be honest. Not having the crowd behind them to help with that ******** penalty and ******** goal broke them mentally.

I'm mad that this team broke mentally after the last two games where they showed amazing mental strength.

FWIW, I thought we played a solid OT. It was back and forth and some of the best, most exciting hockey I have seen from any team in any year. It sucks to be on the losing end of that OT.

Completely agree. I also believe that the refs tilted the ice in the third, whether that was because they thought they called too many penalties on the Capitals or they made a decision to swallow their whistles. I believe that if a team continually gets away with interference and tripping, that team gets a lot of space and can tilt the ice with possession.

At the Garden, Washington wouldn't have gotten away with nearly as much crap as they did.

Well, Lundy is wasting his prime years in New York. He's gonna have to make his decision very soon.

I have a feeling Philly is going to offer him a pretty penny. The fact that they love scoring goals should also be enticing.

Wow, really? That's literally the last thing I'd ever want to see from one of the players on a team I root for.

Yeah. I don't want this at all. We are the New York Rangers, not the ****ing Jets.

Don't need that broken ********.
