Sorry this is not a good team. Girardi out with Hank pulled? Really that's the best we can do? Stall a shell of himself and getting bullied all over the ice. Hard to watch. Still love my Rangers but.............

Make it now 1-12 when they don't score the 1st goal. Doesn't matter that they had the lead. They don't score first - They lose.

Stop harping on this. It's a blatant misuse of numbers and small sample size. I already posted data on this a few weeks ago going back the past 3 years or so and we had something around a top 10 winning percentage in the league when allowing the first goal.

Callahan is so overrated. Tired of this guy not getting any flak for not coming up big in the big moments and being a real leader. Never scores in the playoffs, never scores big goals or makes big plays when we need him and his hockey IQ offensively is just blah.

He's just been ****.

Well they had 15 minutes of effort, if we could only do that 4 times a game we would be in ok shape. Hope this half(edit, quarter) assery doesnt carry over to the Vancouver game.

.500 again, the very essence of mediocrity - when does this stop?
Lundqvist is 8-11 on the season - gross
The Rangers' first regulation loss when leading after 2 periods in 95 games - that's gone now

Thank god we beat that powerhouse panthers team.

Rangers are pathetic. Overhaul.

It does. Actually cancels out allowing the first goal completley.

Bruins were the better team, but Lundqvist has to stop that unscreened point shot from Chara.

Too many games where the Rangers could have at least gotten a point by forcing overtime but didn't because of unlucky bounces and bad goals given up.

Capital B, ull****.

A team that only manages 19 SOG, two in the 3rd, deserve to lose.

End of story.

This board is incredibly hyperbole and knee-jerk, haha.

A bad game today. Hank, Nash and McDonagh played okay. Falk stood up to Lucic nicely. Every else very quiet. Did we create a good chance after scoring our 2nd? Too little desire and too many sloppy plays. I really HATE losing to this team.

It takes a bit more than standing up to Lucic once to say much good about Falk, in my opinion. Don't forget to mention his poor decisions too, while at it.
But, the team did not play well as a unit. The turnovers hurt a lot, carrying over from their efforts in Florida.

LOL.

Top 6 (top 9?) was just pathetic outside of Nash who played a pretty strong game and had some god chances.

D was woeful outside of McD (Stralman was ok).

PP was just a joke, 3 without a single shot? Unacceptable.

Lundqvist was good but needs to stop that Chara shot. As someone said in the GDT, it wasn't a soft goal but I'd like Henrik Lundqvist to stop those.

They'd better bring the fire against the Nucks because that was woeful today

LOL i'd like a PP goal or two.LOL

I'm not trying to say Lundqvist is looking bad. He's just not lucky. It seems like every time he's in net there's a goal deflecting off of one of his D man--today it was G, another game it was Stralman.
The team seems to play a tighter more put together game with Talbot in net. I don't get it, but this is the way it seems to me. The D sucks playing in front of Hank.

Good: Nash scoring, McDonagh looking like his offense is developing, Hank for 48 minutes or so

Bad: Every player on the entire team after the first player. Nothing pisses me off more than complacency.

Pyatt: Pyatt, Callahan, Girardi, Lundqvist on the 3rd goal, and Julien's incessant whining.

In fact, Lundqvist's 3rd goal was so bad that I almost feel like it deserves it's own section of something lower than Pyatt. I didn't think that was possible, quite frankly.

The lack of scoring pisses me off. But I can tolerate it when the team plays hard. I can't tolerate it when the team just decides the game is over and ****ing sleepwalks through the last two periods. They played 20 minutes of hockey today and 40 minutes of ********. I guess Hank decided that he just didn't care anymore at the end and joined the other idiots in getting complacent. This was a team loss, through and through, if I ever saw one. One of the more embarrassing losses you'll see, IMHO.

This whole post were my thoughts.

This sounds overreactionary but I just want this team gutted already.

Outmatched again by a superior team. Callahan really hasn't been the same since coming back from the injury. Hank really needs to work on controlling those crazy rebounds. This team needs to make some moves, quick.

I can't blame Hank for this one. He was under siege for pretty much the entire game. Rangers didn't deserve to win and they didn't.

hank just knows we suck and has a ton of pressure on his shoulders. maybe if we scored more often he wouldnt need to be perfect

Idiots. ****ing all of them. Idiots.

How long are we going to pretend this being the worst Rangers team in years doesn't coincide with the premature firing of Torts?

Lol worst team in years... Your agenda is showing. Were we even in a playoff position at this point last year? No. Torts is gone, get over it.

I thought they would hang on until I heard Pierre interview AV. AV explained how his priority was to box out Boston's forwards at the expense of allowing them to keep shooting at will from the blue line.

I have seen enough Bruins vs Rangers games to know that to beat the Bruins you need to press high and prevent them bombing shots in from the point. Their whole offense is predicated on taking point shots and burying rebounds using their size to get positioning. AV got the tactics all wrong and it cost them. Also way too many no look back passes.

The players who have been labeled our "leaders" have been terrible. Callahan, Richards, Girardi, Staal, Lundqvist...Stepan was also invisible.

Only players who stood out positively today were Nash and McDonagh.

This has been routine for him this season. He pads his stats with PP assists, and rarely makes an impact on the game.

This "1st line center" that everyone was sold on last year, is again showing why he is a border line 2nd line center, and Sather was absolutely right to force him into a bridge contract.
