Richards has an exceptional slap shot and should be shooting on the power play. The difference is we should have all five guys be a threat to shoot.

Nash pinched down the boards too early at times, leaving Richards on an island.

We weren't able to use Callahan in front of the net, nor Gaborik down low for the most part.

It needs work. Its always going to need work.

yeah that's it....it can't be the fact that training camp was like 6 days long...or the fact that they are integrating a superstar like Nash into a pretty important aspect of the team. Who shoots, how do they set up?

That was particularly evident on the 5-on-3. In no way should Richards be the triggerman with Gaborik and Nash both on the ice.

Oh and Gaborik needs to shoot more. Richards was the only one showing any life on the PP. Sully needs to seriously revamp the strategy for tomorrow.

Del Zotto had himself a solid game. It was nice to see him actually shoot from the blueline.

Hank was the reason this wasn't 7-1

Hagelin was terrible

Kreider could've been 10 feet tall and I still wouldn't have noticed him

Stralman looked like Redden out there

As long as he's on a checking line, you'll be saying this a lot - it's not where his skill set lies. He'll get better at playing D hopefully, but he's not a shutdown player - never has been.

Them being lost on the power play has been like that for seasons now. Like someone else said, you can no longer pin it on the personnel but who the **** is running the whole thing.

The Bruins have iced almost the exact same team for 3 years....why is anyone shocked we lost this game.

I was praying we'd get a team with a ton of turnover just like us....this was a horrendous 1st game matchup for us....tomorrow isn't any better.

They looked like they had no idea what to do on the 5 on 3. That was unacceptable. It looked like they didn't practice it at all.

Yeah for tomorrow I'd put Cally with Rich and Nash, Kreider with Step and Gabs, and Hags with Pie and Boyler. It should've been like that tonight

And it's fine, because he's a rookie and it's to be expected. But he looked every bit as bad as Hags did, IMO, but without the ice time.

No arguments from me. I don't think he should be on a checking line. No one is ever going to mistake him for Holik. Either put him on the 2nd line or send him to the whale.

Not going to get to worked up about one game: the Bruins are one big, talented, physical, and deep team.

But.....I wish we were a bit faster through the middle: Richards, Stepan, Boyle: not much speed to carry the puck up the ice. Thought our wingers were ok and our centers mediocre.
