Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Boston

I can only imagine how much fun this board was during that third period

I have a sneaking suspicion Torts is going to go back to Boyle on Thursday, citing the end of the game defensive breakdowns. But 3-0 without him in the lineup (NOT SAYING THAT BOYLE BEING OUT OF THE LINEUP IS WHY THE RANGERS ARE 3-0, CALM DOWN PEOPLE), if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Nice to take the season series against the B's. I think that might not be the last time the Bruins and Rangers face each other this season.

Nash's goal in the shootout and that assist....

Oh my.

Boyle wouldn't have changed anything. In fact we would have probably struggled even more. At least Miller was competent in moving the puck up the ice.

The main issue in the Dzone were the lack of support along the wall from the wings.

Myself, it is not a case of 'what have you done for me lately' with Richards. I am loyal to the players who I believe are good for the makeup of the team.
For me, I am perplexed by what looks like rust that should have been shaken off by now. Can't blame a person for wondering about that.

That doesn't mean I don't believe that Richards is a good player. Buyout? Not a chance that I want that. This organization is more mature in its approach than doing that.

Buy-outs are immature?

Richards is an easy target right now obviously, but you guys are all crazy, you did the same thing last year, and then look what happened..

Richard's first shift in OT... you won't even see a regular time shift like that in any beer league across the globe. Wow. I thought I was seeing things.

Not that I'm defending Richards, cuz I've already said on these boards that he needs to step up his game... but that first OT shift was on BOTH Richards and Nash. Neither of them seemed to want the puck, kept backing off, and ended up on top of their own defensemen, ultimately leaving no one to pass to.

Man, if anything was benny hill worthy, that 20 seconds was. Anyone feeling ambitious enough to make a youtube clip of it with benny hill in the background? Could be the second gem in a row for the main boards after that gif of that god awful line change the other night. Everyone makes mistakes, but geez when this team ****s up, they go for the gold.

We still won, let's not forget. Fans can get mad. Members of the team have to keep a level head and take it as it is.

very true.

He probably realizes that the team is pretty PO'd about giving up that 3-0 lead as well.

No need to dog pile the situation.

We have two very winable games coming up, good to keep the positive energy going.

I just checked face-off stats. Usually the B's totally kill it, with none of the Rangers centers close to .500 on draws (with Richards taking most of them). Halpern was 9 and 2, and saw more ice. Good utilization by Tort's and way for Halpern to help out where the Rangers have been dismal.
