I thought about that.

However, kind of like defensemen, sometimes you want nothing to happen when they're out there.

Especially, if they're the 3rd. pairing and your top guys take care of the offense.

Maintenance day for Muzzin 3 games into the season? Good grief.

Maybe he should be working on his skating?

I was thinking that would be cool to have a K - K - ... then I let that marinate in my mind for 2 seconds and my immediate reaction was .... Oh.... Nooooo... Nooooo.... No No No....
 
Would like the lines to be:

Ritchie - Matthews - Marner
Bunting - Tavares - Nylander
Engvall - Kerfoot - Kase
Spezza - Kampf - Simmonds.

Or you could put Kampf on the third line as C, put Kerfoot on the wing, and move Engvall to 4C.

I'm not expecting to much out of 34, no pre season games, first real game in 5 months but just having him out there will make us way better.

I like this. I would thought switch Kampf and Engvall, with Kerfoot playing the wing there. Engvall can add some speed to that fourth line. Third line is very defensively responsible with Kase and Kerfoot able to provide offense.

I'd also like to see Spezza get the odd shift with Matthews and Marner. Ritchie will be great for taking the physical toll off Matthews once Ritchie gets acclimatized but every now and again I'd like to see Spezza there. He's looked fantastic in the last two games.

I wonder if K3 would work as a nick name. Its the 3rd line 3 K's etc.

Matthews coming back is fantastic news for Marner to get going again, but it also means Tavares won't face the other teams' best line anymore. Nylander has been on fire for awhile now, hopefully that gives Tavares a much needed lift as well.

Not for nothing though as Tavares and Marner have had grade A chances galore, but Marner is trying too hard to be a shooter when passing is his real game.
