Post-Game Talk: Rangers at Islanders 4/13/13

Well, I voted for Hank obviously. Had I possessed the simple ability to double check things, my 3 stars would be Hank, Boyle and Stralman.
 
Somebody needs to tell Nash, Cally and Richards that you actually have to skate and play hard in big games like this instead of floating around like bumbling buffoons.

This is very important actually. The isles are the hottest team in the league and hank stopped them dead. We played alright and we won.

Hank is the best player on this team and he plays like it. Why all the anger this team has 11 of 14pts. And if you guys havnt noticed the schedule has been kinda hellish. They are doing what they need to do to get points. The schedule likens up moving forward we will be fine.

JUMP OFF THE LEDGE EVERYONE.

Islander fans are a bunch of frustrated wannabe Marys. They chirp but they will back down if it gets real. Loser fans, loser franchise, going to Brooklyn. Nuff said.
 
just peeked in the Icelanders forum to read........seems like there is an Awful lot of Hatred being passed around those parts:D

Jokes aside, I completely agree with this post. Isles have been a great team here lately, give them some credit. They came into this game on a complete tear and Hank denied them. I thought Moore, Stralman, Eminger, Girardi and McDonagh (outside of that brutal turnover near the crease) played fantastic D tonight. We've played some games this season where we've out chanced the opposite only to give up some horrible goals and come up short on the scoreboard. I'll take a win like this every time.
 
Does anyone have a video of the okposo slash? Or know why some islander fans are complaining about it? From my view at the game it looked like he used his stick like an axe and just chopped Girardi's in two

Deserved???

I don't think the Fishticks dominated the game as many make it sound. If anything...sure they had more scoring chances and more of a push in the 2nd and parts of the 3rd. But I don't think we were completely outplayed.

Horrible game all around. Just pathetic. Islanders weren't great either so we got very lucky.

Unbelievable how uninspired this team manages to play sometimes, in a huge game nonetheless.

PoTG: Hank

Good: Boyle, Stralman. I thought Girardi was average but we scored so I'll throw him up here.

Bad: Callahan is either hurt or is having personal problems, because the guy is flat out sucking. Brassard had a terrible game aside from his beautiful pass.

Richards: The man himself. Thanks for showing up for such a big game. Hell, thanks for showing up this season.
