Can't believe there were those who didn't want CK to come up. At the very least, he's a pro player for our organization in dire need of bodies. They did the right thing and now are being rewarded as he has come to play, and play very hard.

I didn't want him to come up. If he continues his play, I'll gladly eat the full plate of crow.

dont know how it took so long to put mcdonagh on the PP unit.

I was at the coliseum for the game. the crowd was SO LOUD. more rangers there than isles. the section over from me, I believe 339, had like 3 fights break out and 10 people get thrown out.

LGR!!!!:yo:

DISCLAIMER: NOT A GROSS OVER REACTION TO TONIGHTS GAME! We'll hit some bumps down the road but the direction is correct.

Something that's really not being talked about at all, anywhere, including here.

The games out west, no camaraderie. Nash got concussed - nothing. Stepan got elbowed - nothing. Zucc getting mugged - nothing. People getting laid out - no response from anyone.

What can we all see is beginning to happen? This team is coming together. Haven't seen Richie scrum in 2 years. Hagelin crosschecked an Islander down to end the game. Dorsett will fight now. Boyle doesn't take offense to anything if he's on the ice. My guess is once Cally and Nash come back this team will be in full gear and every NHL analyst will be screaming watch out for this NY Rangers squad.

This is the most offensive creativity i've seen in YEARS on this team! At some point, when everyone is healthy, the goals will start pouring in and everything will click. The blue line is still improving. The defensive lapses are decreasing by the game. Girardi has been starting the seasons slower and slower but I have the utmost confidence that by the time we need him most he'll be up to his high standard of play.

Weaknesses I'd like to see addressed. Pouloit. Immense skill. Theres a reason he went top 5 in the draft. Inconsistency kills me though. If he's to play every day he belongs in the bottom 6, and if not then I'd love to have him as a space. Pyatt. He's too slow and ineffective to play on this team. Trade him or put him on waivers. He doesn't fit. Del Zotto - trade him.

Hank will get healthy. The defense will hit their stride. The offense will get healthy. The camaraderie is beginning. This will be a good season boys. Mark my words.

That was MZA's best game maybe in a ranger sweater he was everywhere that's how he has to play to survive in this league

Now granted it was against a terrible defense but he stepped up

Chris Kreider looked like a bull in a china shop just tearing thru. He was a monster. He's been our best player since his call up. Scary good finally got rewarded.

Step was better

Richards looked great

MDZ was worst player on ice

Love cam talbot knew he was ready

We have been very good defensively for a few weeks now.

Miller is getting better

Hags adds so much

Going 19 21 16 22 at center is the way to go no matter what

God I wish Callahan and Nash were here

Kreider started playing much betterr at teh end of training camp then i Hartford and it has carried over bigtime. i think Torts made him so nervous that he was afraid of making mistakes, Now all that nervousness is gone and his confidence is 10 times greater than what is was when he first debuted. This kid has rare skills and frame so it was just a matter of time until he put it all together

Pouliot played really well in Detriot. Made a great play to set up the winning goal. Wasn't all that bad on Monday. When everyone comes back, he will make a very effective third line player. Oh and he never hit Max Talbot (watch the replay closely, he tucked his elbow) don't understand the hate here at all.

What surprises me is the time Pyatt is getting on the PK. In the 3 years he played in Phoenix I can't remember him ever killing penalties. Same last year. Still think he's a candidate to be the odd man out when Callahan and Nash get back.

Watching the replay, it's amazing how much better McDonagh is at keeping the puck in at the line on the PP compared to Del Zotto

And even though he's had a few defensive errors, there's something just pleasant about seeing Marc Staal on the ice every night

It was a very bad bounce. Im not saying he didnt do anything wrong but that was a very unlucky bounce

I really dont criticize him much, MDZ is a much bigger problem, thankfully he got taken of the PP1 unit.

but he has the worst +/- on the team at -11 in only 10 games. thats.... ugly.

*edit* -13 after tonight

I really like our new pp unit. With Mcdonagh and zuccarello in and kreider screening the goalie we have many more oppurtunties

You guys are cracking me up with those black and white clapping thingies.
If these keep getting updated, I could miss work tomorrow, not that they would miss me.

This all looks Citizen Kane-ish

I think McDonagh is better than MDZ on the PP, but I really think he needs more practice at it, which is okay.
I think the PP has always looked for some kind of magic. Magic is not what is needed, doing the basic workmanlike stuff is what is needed. Repeat, repeat, repeat. I think they could have a lot of fun out there doing that stuff and getting results.
