For Eichel....no one was tradeable buddy

Because a lot of Rangers fans weren’t interested in him. Why would they offer interesting pieces.

Besides, Eichel is a very rare and poor example to use. I shouldn’t have to explain why

I thought NYR prospects were untouchable?

For Eichel....no one was tradeable buddy

Three prospects were unavailable for Eichel. Three. 3. Tres. Tria. Tri. San. три.

Most of the Rangers fanbase wanted no part of Jack, anyway.

I agree. There are other teams that need Chiarot more, that will likely pay more for his services.

Lehkonen and Dvorak are much better fits for the rangers needs
Unlikely Montreal trade either player to NYR.

As a Habs fan I think this is wishful thinking. Chiarot I see around a 1st, lekhonen around 2x2nd. Othman has been developping well he is worth more than a late 1st rounder in the next draft.
Many of the talking heads in the NHL are calling Lekhonen as this years Goodrow. The player that fills your 3rd line as a pesky excellent 200 foot player that will get some points. Look Goodrow got a 1st and 3rd last year for the cup winning team.

No Goodrow got 1st and the third went the other way which is close to 2x2nds

Definitely not unlikely, nice try though.
Montreal are not doing a complete rebuild Hughes/Gorton will only trade Dvorak , Lehkonen if they get an offer they like . Montreal don't need to trade either player.

We will trade them with the right offer, just watch and cry all you want.

Also, Lekhonen makes more than twice what Goodrow made when he was traded to TB. The Rangers have no problem absorbing that salary this season, but the higher salary now means that the re-signing salary will be even higher, making it difficult for the Rangers to bring him in long term. They literally just moved a FAR better winger entering his last RFA year because of the cap situation. What would be the point of moving Buchnevich due to the cap only to trade assets to bring in a lesser player who will cost only a little bit less? If I'm Drury, I don't offer much unless I know what the player is looking for on his next contract.

damn. oh well.

could you maybe explain this then?

or do you hold a grudge vs NYR or something? If anyone knows the rangers farm system outside their own management, its Gorton, who built it. I fail to see the logic in not trading either of these players to NYR considering all the smoke around the two teams.

If you believe the NYR are the only team interested in players like Chiarot , Lehkonen , Dvorak your wrong. Gorton/Hughes will trade Chiarot before the trade deadline to the team that makes an offer Gorton/Hughes like best and that applies to Lehkonen , Dvorak difference is they don't need to trade Lehkonen who they could easily resign and Dvorak who is already under contract.
