Rangers future on D
Not the first time he's been hit, and draft order is meaningless now. Trouba's doing him a favor. He shouldn't do that to the #2OA.

Chytil is looking very toned compared to last season. Not sure what you're expecting. Sounds like you're complaining just to complain. You and @Machinehead will be BFF's very soon.![]()
Obviously it's very early but it seems like we have 3 solidified lines in mind, plus Lemieux-Fast as a combo together. I guess VK is looking at taking either Strome or Namestnikov's spot on the 3rdSo the first two lines are perfect. Leave that alone for a minute.
Quinn has Namestnikov Lias Strome together.
Lemieux McKegg Fast together
Haley with Howden and Kravtsov.
We’ve got too many players.
Man, Vince has been a breath of fresh air on the Rangers beat...
ZoroI wanna know what the Z stands for.
Ask him. He’s been very good about responding to tweetsI wanna know what the Z stands for.
You can play tough. That looked like a regular-season hip check into the glass. Don't think that's necessary in camp. Don't need Kakko with a separated shoulder before Opening Night.
How's that a play with words? Bottom 6 is something I can see for Boo (whether with the Rangers or not). He's obviously been a late bloomer and (with a small sample size) has shown that he has a pretty decent offensive playmaking ability. But what really stands out is that he is big, fast and can be physical. His defensive play and awareness are what benefits him and his chances of sticking in the NHL, which is why, IMO, NYR extended him. He has a role even if it's with NYR or Hartford.
Who is this man? What happened to my baby boy Chytil? There's an odd number of letters in this post. This is bull****! Same old Rangers![]()

That's Italian. Makes sense.Zamboni
I’ll be convinced we’re trading Kreider when we trade him. Not saying I don’t believe it’s the right decision. Tying up more money on the wing is tough considering it’s our strength. Just seems like the guy Quinn loves to have. No way we would give him 7 years but if that demand changes we’ll see.
If he has a great year it’ll be even tougher to want to part ways.
Sorry, it’s like saying you will believe the Earth is round only when you see it from outer space. It’s like Rangerboy saying Gorton will not pursue Panarin (until he got signed) or Webster insisting Zuke would be extended to stay with the Rangers long term.
Since Panarin was brought in all evidence points out to Kreider not being with the Rangers for his next contract. No spot in the lineup and no room under the cap.
Fair viewpoints. I do have a different view on Kreider. You can move him tomorrow if you take nothing back. That is not as best we can, but it is as soon as you can. The best we can can may well not be until the TDL.I disagree with putting the burden on our blueline last year. More often than not, it wasn't d-men getting beat but blown coverage from our forwards. And that is on playing as a unit of five. A defensive structure. It seemed like it was always the third man in who was left alone to get a quality chance. And that is not the fault of our blueline.
I'm not blaming Gordo for our situation. Just that we need to move Kreids as best we can, as soon as we can. Otherwise moral will take a huge hit.
Was going to respond, point by point but I think that you are onto something here. Bold predictions or Hot Take thread?I'm gonna wait for the "bold predictions" thread.
Come on, you KNEW that was going to be the case. The Rangers have a legit top line center that with a better cast could be touted as "elite". They brought in an elite top line LW. Of course they were going to be paired together.Hate that top line less but still don’t like loading with Panarin and Zibanejad.
Wait. What are the chance that there are two of us posting at the same time?I'm never wrong. I'm just different degrees of right.
Trade Buch and you can get to $6.5 perI think they are open to keeping Kreider but it would have to be a sweetheart of a deal, one I doubt he would accept so he is likely gone. I'd like to keep him but not on a Hayes type deal. 4x6 and I'm in....7x7...out.
Do I prefer Trouba dishing out a controlled hit over a real opponent in a real NHL game? Sure. That hit seemed unnecessary. He had his head kind of down looking for the puck in his feet.
Yes, I want to mollycoddle our best draft pick in generations. That's my right.
I think the front office is dead-set against big money for "older" middle six types. It's that simple. They will overpay for "stars" but will be really frugal with the rest. With all the talk this week about wanting north south guys and not having many. Are we really going to trade away Chris kreider with what he brings to this team? I'm still not so sure.
