There should be consistency. But I saw quintal's playing history brought up as a factor along with hagelin's suspension. I took it as " this former hab and ranger suspended hagelin four games for an injury. Why is this former hab only suspending a current hab for two games." Just saying, Quintal didn't do that one. But I apologize if I was offbaseIt shouldn't matter who heads Dept of Player Saftey. There should be a set of consistent, and clear standards for supplemental discipline. And for the sake of integrity, people in power should be able to recuse themselves. Especially a person like Quintal has has past rigid history with a particular team. Right?
Why do you post ?

It's fun.

Why would someone watch something they claim to hate because they believe it's fixed?
You ask a person a condescending question, just because a person feels a certain way, doesn't give another person a reason to question his feelings especially in a condescending way
If I don't enjoy something, I don't do it unless I have to. No one makes you watch a hockey game, so it's fair to ask someone why they watch something they hate and that they think is fixed against their rooting interests.
Doing optional things that you don't want to do is irrational.
Best sport in the world but worst league in the world..we watch it because it's hockey but hate it because it's the NHL

Do you really think a person who actually posts on here HATES watching or playing this great game of hockey??? I mean c'mon man, sometimes you just let your emotions speak because of a situation or something
Please don't be so naive on that things can't ever be fixed. Just a few years ago a handful of NBA Refs(a league bigger than the NHL) admitted on betting/ fixing outcomes of the games they reffed
I think you have the emotion part backwards. I love watching NHL playoff hockey and I understand that sometimes the calls go against you.
The emotional ones are those that believe there is a conspiracy against them.
I thought that was only one ref, but I could be wrong.
Again, if I truly believed that the fix was in against my team and that it was all fixed, I would be upset, but I certainly wouldn't watch anymore.
Did you ever stop to consider that whenever a sports fan believe his sport is crooked that it is crooked against his team?
Who is being naive?
That's where you are wrong, I'm an emotional person and also played that way(got thrown out of my share of games) but I don't think there is any conspiracy. I do think there should be a better judging system with all the on ice officials and it should be made public, just like a player is
I thought that was only one ref, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, exactly. It's always "where's the call?" when it's us but when McDonagh slashes a Hab and nothing is called, no one says anything
Not saying there was a fix but you explain how 4 on ice officials do not make the call on Prust's hit which was obvious as day ? These are the type of plays that make people think this way.
On the NBA, it was numerous officials and there were others that did not come forward
I agree there should be attempts to improve officiating, but people are most definitely saying that there is a conspiracy, even if you aren't.
I just looked it up and I only found evidence of one ref in the scandal and he was betting on the games.
Here we have people saying things like Quintal is helping Montreal because he didn't enjoy his stint in NY. It's possible, but pretty unlikely.
We also routinely hear that the league favors Pitt, Toronto, and Montreal. No one ever seems to think that their team has the league behind them.
I think the Rangers got a raw deal in the last game. I have seen them get benefits too, but no one here ever complains about them. Human nature, I guess.
Was Kreider slashed/tripped on that breakaway in Game 1 ?
It was numerous officials
