Coming to a place of hostile & angry (both understandable) Rangers fans is not a very bright idea. Go keep it on the main board where it is neutral territory. That would be the place to explain your opinion.

It's quite a bit of fun poking the bees nest but the guy was respectful. He isn't blustery and or having an opinion that's outrageous. It should be ok to post it in that instance.

I'm having a discussion about a play that occurred in a playoff game, citing evidence and explaining my opinion. No offence intended.

If your a Habs fan, this is not the place for you at this time. You have 2 boards to discuss your opinion.

I would be against any Rangers fan going into the Habs boards after a loss and especialy after an incident like Price.

It's not that you said anything wrong, it's that posting in here based on your views, after a tough loss is not proper etiquette. It's common sense.

Im not saying it isn't okay to post. I am just saying, even if you are respectful, don't be surprised when you are met by an angry mob.

The Rangers had some mistakes here and there and lacked finish, but they ultimately dominated the game. The reaction to the Prust blindside on Stepan probably hurt us, but there's no blaming the guys for wanting to protect their own.

I'm very pleased with the fight, with not giving up, with tying the game with an empty net which the Rangers never do. I think there's no reason to doubt their ability to win game 4.

While some people expected the Canadiens to sweep, I don't think anyone honestly considered a Rangers sweep. The Rangers don't sweep, they take it in 7. :bb:

EDIT: Would be nice to get Brassgod back in the lineup.

I'm not a "Habs fan" - I'm a hockey fan. I'm stating my opinion on the hit and the possible suspension, using facts and images. I think it's fine to state the reality of a situation, no? It was a late hit, but not to the head. I'm assuming it will be one game. It should have been a 2-minute interference call, but certainly Mr. Bettman isn't pulling strings or anything to change any outcomes.

Suspension..if not one Cleary they do have it out for the rangers.. if that was.brown or toress (sp?) They would be going crazy and talk about getting suspended for the series

****.

“@DarrenDreger: Vigneault says Stepan broke his jaw.”

“@DarrenDreger: Vigneault says Stepan is injured. Says 4 officials missed the late hit by Prust. Suggests there should have been 5 min penalty.”

Then why not discuss it on the main board, instead of here? There is a thread dedicated to it. That is why that board is created.

It is common sense to know how inappropriate it is to come onto another teams board and argue against their fans, again, regardless of facts, after a tough loss like that.

The Kreider play was clearly not his fault, but you don't see me going into the Habs board to prove it with facts and frames and what not.

That's because it's disrespectful and I have respect for the emotions this game brings with it.

Again, there is a DESIGNATED spot for discussions for fans like you. Why you need to preach your opinion elsewhere is beyond me.

Doctors cleared him to play last night. Says diagnosis on Stepan made this am. He requires surgery. No timeline for return.

I don't care about your attempt to justify your opinion as "more impartial and thus more rational". Doesn't mean you're right.

I also don't care that the principle point of contact was the "chest". That really means nothing to me. For your information, hits to the chest that lead to the head snapping back violently can sometimes lead to concussions, too.

I'm looking at a 4th line player, who plays minimal minutes and doesn't affect the score of a game directly too often, locking his sight on a player without a puck who is not looking at him (nor within an appropriate time frame to expect physical contact - in effect not thinking that he needs to protect himself from physical harm) and then blindsiding him to the upper chest, neck and chin. There are rules in the league that protect players who are unaware and not involved in a play from being a part of the play.

Unfortunately, this safety department operates likes this: injury = suspension, non-injury = no suspension. They don't take into account the intent unless there is an injury.

Nevertheless, I find it laughable that you claim you are a "hockey fan" when you not only condone such on-ice antics, but trivialize their actual significance. 2 minute interference? Get out of here with that ****. You're incising the board for no discernible reason.

But...it wasn't a headshot...right? Can't believe what some of these "experts"'(Roenick, etc...)!have said about that hit

It's fine. Brassard will be back (hopefully) next game. Miller will be center on the first line. Guys need to step up. Miller will be a star. Time to put on his big boy pants. Guy can play. We will have to deal with his defensive liability.

Theres no reason on earth to put Miller into that type of situation.

Player's go down with injury, others have to come in. Miller's ceiling - in terms of potential and playing ability - is much higher than anyone else's who isn't playing.

Put Moore back on the 4th line, we clearly have a hole on that line now that Carcillo can't play.

Brassard & Richards on the other two lines. Miller with Kreider and Nash.

That needs to be the line.
