Barron looked good. He's going to be a solid 3rd line center. Chytil has 4 points in the last 4 games and should stay on the wing. Some people thought this game was going to be a layup because of the records and disregard everything else. It doesn't work that way.
Good to know.
Barron coming in and being a viable 3C with Goodrow on his line would be huge.
A 3rd line of goodrow-Barron-Lehkonen
That can forecheck and dominate along the boards is a huge advantage.
If Chytil finds a home with Strome/Panarin, that’s also a tremendous coup.
He’ll go from a bad 3C to a legit top 6 Wing that can contribute almost nightly. That would be incredible

I don’t get the Kakko complaints in the GDT. He was good tonight and he’s looked good playing on the first line with first line matchups for a while now.

Chytil should stick at right wing and a trade deadline move should be for a 3c upgrade. Then you can run Rooney-Goodrow-Reaves as the 4th line with Goodrow moving up the lineup as necessary.

Lafreniere-3C Upgrade- Gauthier/Hunt can be a solid 3rd line depending on the acquisition.
There's too much aimless skating when he should just shoot the puck. This from someone who once said "just shoot it, sometimes it goes in." He absolutely should "look good" playing with some of the best on the team. The Rangers are trying to speed up Kakko's development but all it does is get him a few secondary assists at the cost of a functional team offense.

Ya know the funny thing is,.. Chytil has more to give. Even though he's on a 4 game point streak, he's still acquiescing to Panarin and Strome. Once he starts carrying the play like he did on the third line, he'll be even better. But right now, he seems content to relinquish the puck to his new linemates. He has that ability to carry the puck with speed into the O zone, but has been leaving it up to his new linemates. I think with a little more confidence, Chytil could be a go to guy on that line. With his speed, I could see a lot give and go's with Panarin in the future. Much like what Kreids and Zibad do regularly.

Chytil is still a very young 22-year-old. He hasn't even scratched the surface yet.

Kaako with 20+ assists this season really isn't a bad thing at all. With a little more age/strength/maturity that will regularly be 30 and maybe 40 assists. And what's wrong with that.

It's funny how Kaako is a great passer but doesn't shoot enough, and Laf's shooting enough but his passing needs work.

I was watching, and I paused and was like..the f*** did he just call Konecny? I mean like Nilsson you can sort of understand, I remember my grandpa and that seems like something he would have said, but whatever Sam called Konecny was absolutely bizarre.

Konecny is a good player. He is really going to help a contender.

The Rangers do an amazing job of winning the game at hand. It’s rarely pretty but you can’t argue with the results.

On that note, please trade for 2 forwards for the love of god

Igor needs to be farther out of his net for those long shots, goalies always say you can’t sit back on those. Was a nice tip by Farabe but no way that should come close to going in.

Not hat worthy but I liked McKegg’s game. Who chooses the hat? The last winner? He’s a lunch pail blue collar guy always up and down from minors to the NHL and probably a good influence for the kids in the A and the big show, they wanted to recognize him for his effort, I’m cool with that

I see Lehkonen and Boyd as the rangers 2 main deadline targets.
Jarnkrok as well
Lehkonen and Kakko know each other well so I would be on board for that reason alone. But my feeling is, there's going to be a bidding war. He's a great bottom-6 guy, plenty of teams interested.

Meh being a a RFA, tops he gets a 2nd rd pick+ B prospect at the most imo.
He’s not really going to warrant the return of any top 6 guy.
I like that fact that he’s also played well in a lot of playoff games.
He’s def high up on my wish list.
The hope is if you have 2 solid vets like him and Goodrow on 3rd line, that’s tremendous insulation for Barron should they choose to keep him at 3C til the end of the year
