That's awesome buddy. A little gesture like that will certainly stir up some chatter and give you the chance to reflect and remember. Thumbs up!

Obviously he's always in my thoughts, but it will be nice to see the big bright DIBBA tag smiling back at me when the garage door goes up

Saw the new Bronco in person today for the first time. 4 door model, but I was still surprised by how big it was. Even bigger was the tires. Side walls must have been a good 5-6 inches. Aired down to 15psi I could see that rig getting some massive grip.

I have to admit I wasn't all too impressed by the previews and reviews, but seeing one in person certainly made me think

Of course! I'll reply in time, had a hell of a day with work and haven't been able to sneak away for more than a few minutes.

Ship full of Porsche's on fire. Feel really bad for all the people waiting for delivery forever.

We made it to Ohio, the Jeep was fantastic the whole way, really was the perfect vehicle for the trip. Got decent fuel economy for what it is too. Our dogs were comfy the whole way in their crates in the back and we had zero issues. Of course we got into Ohio and immediately ran into sleet and then snow, but the Jeep was great for that as well. Absolutely impressed with that Jeep. I've seen tons of Grand Cherokees here too, including ones of the same generation, but all of those I've seen have been rusty, glad I brought a pristine example in from Texas.

Replaced the headlights since one broke last week due to flying ice on the highway.

Also got the Jeep registered here in Ohio.

I had a phone call with my boss yesterday about a bonus package/salary adjustment, and after that was done we ended up talking about cars for literally about an hour.

It's funny. No matter how old or young you are, when these machines come up in conversation, we're all kids again.

Universal language, and everyone's got an opinion on it

I f***ing snapped today. I got 2 new tires for the front of my rig at Canadian tire. I know all the stories about the garage there but I thought hey its just 2 tires, what could go wrong?

I was early for my appointment but my truck was brought in on time. I thought sweet....its easy to kill 30 minutes here. So I went and did some shopping (New air filter, new frying pan and some seeds to plant in the spring etc)

Then an hour goes by and I'm like wtf. I went to the bay doors and could see the truck sitting there with the new shoes on. Then it turned into an hour and a half and I saw they had my hood opened and I lost my shit and walked into the garage (big no no) and told the little punk to shut the hood and give me my truck back.

NOBODY touches my truck unless I ask!

End rant

Did they say what they were doing under the hood? I assume they were dicking around for bullshit upcharges "hey you need washer fluid, we can fill it for 5 bucks"

Oh more than likely. After an hour and a half with my mask on I just wanted the f outta there. I understand it might be common practise for them, but I never asked for anything but my tires. I'm super anal about people touching my truck so it just triggered me.

Tires have been nice so far. Cheaped out and got Motomaster APX's. But I went for comfort like we talked about :)

Lol my car has this, and i HATED it at first. I still don’t care for it now, 9 months later, but I’ve gotten used to it. The drive mode selector is directly below it too

It does have a very very strict reverse lockout/restrictor thing in it though. It’s gone into neutral on me many times while three point turning. I don’t have to be completely stopped to switch from drive to reverse, but it’s gotta be a slow slow crawl at most.

Getting the driveway re-paved. Super pumped! Getting the curb cut and making it double wide. So no more moving vehicles around when its stupid cold and miserable (old drive way was just a single lane). So now it will be enough parking for 5.

My truck has made some serious ruts and even made shovelling snow a pain. Hate to say it now, but looking forward to next winter lol

Subaru cancels the 2022 WRX STI and has made the top trim model of the 2022 WRX automatic transmission only.

I hope your boring-ass field of CVT CUV's keeps that profit margin flowing, you corporate f***s.

Subaru has almost entirely abandoned their long time fans, and cater almost entirely to soccer moms. I find most of their cars to be pretty sharp looking, which doesn’t surprise me because most all look the same. But good god the driving dynamic is just so lack luster and lazy.

Washed my hybrid and the ‘64 Chevelle this afternoon. Didn’t have many rags so I decided to drive-dry the ‘64. Took Pops out for lunch. He even decided to get involved in the washing and took hose duty for a bit.

Engine is strong as ever, and ran perfectly steady at 190*. I’m starting to not care for the turbo350 trans though
