No and its bs. I wanted this thing for the winter and everyday that passes is a waste.

Ahhh...the great jacket shortage of '21. I'll never forget

So they just tell you they don't know when it's shipping or something? I guess "it's not my department" is alive and well with that company.

I dunno man. I just hate the run around. Customer service is all about just giving a shit, and nobody did but the lady in Wisconsin.

I was just excited to try this new technology. I've wanted one for a couple years now and finally ordered it and get kicked in the nuts. Like my money is certainly gone though lol

I'll get over it. Thanks for giving a f*** or two ;)

Tbh I didn't even know these things existed until now. If you ever do get it delivered, I would certainly be interested in hearing your opinions about it.

At the moment I am definitely not interested in getting one though lol

Lol will do. FYI they make vests and hoodies etc. The price difference between the jacket and hoody just didn't make sense to me. Time will tell

Saw a Nissan Murano in the wild today. Normally it’s not a talking point, at all

but it had a dipped black 5.0 badge on it lol

edit: and if you thought it was swapped, as i walked from the store back to my car i saw the owner adding oil…just your regular ass 3.5

Hadn't washed the MX-5 in a while, and it was due for an oil change so I tackled that. Was hands down the easiest oil change I've ever done, less than 10 minutes and that included jacking the car up. Love the central jack points it has front and rear. Cleaned the engine bay a bit while I was in there too.

Guy in the same building I work in drives a piece of shit mid 00's Chevy Malibu. Got his ride an upgrade for Xmas...mechanical fixes? Nope. Snow tires? Nope. Interior repairs? Nope.

New amp and a sub box.

Gave some of his homies a demonstration Friday morning in the parking lot. Sounded like a roomful of preschoolers banging castanets every bass thump.

Do you work in the same building as a legion of 18-year olds?

20 years ago I couldn't drive to the corner store without MY mirrors rattling because another driver was just pumping bass through the entire city. Now, I'd be surprised if I heard that rattle once a month

Saw what I think was a Porsche 911 GT3 yesterday in my town center. Shark Blue.

Looked nice. Sounded ridiculous. Want one. Can't afford one.

i visit the Porsche car configurator at least once a week and always build either one of those or the Cayman GT4 in python green. sometimes a Macan if i'm feeling practical. I've always opted for cars with boring colors so i don't stand out when i'm speeding but a porsche is a porsche so may as well make it bright.

even the porsche snow chains are bright.

I like the Gentian Blue Metallic a lot too. Not that I've ever played with the configurator before, of course. Definitely never.

Reminds me of the time I was driving the Shelby, was at a stop light and this guy in a ratty SUV pulls up next to me. He comments on my car, complimenting it etc, then he said he had me beat in one important aspect.

After I ask what it was, he cranked his stereo, blasting the base etc.

I told him... nope, I for sure have him beat there too. He told me to crank it up so he could hear it, so I gave a very hard rev...

He started laughing, then gave a thumbs up and said "Touche!"

I did the same for a few years before I just couldn't hold back anymore on the GT500. ;)

Also, for me it was usually building it with the "Eleanor" look, grey with black stripes... but in '08 they made the "Red stripe package", and that look stuck in my head so sometimes it would have the black with red stripes look... by December 2010, my patience was running thin and I seemed to be building the car online every other day, always black with red stripes at that point. 3 days into the new year I said "f*** it! It's time!" And drove to the dealer and put in my order. ;)

Picked up a winter beater/tow rig for the BMW race car today.

It's a 2005, has the 5.7l Hemi V8 and 4x4. Has 146k miles on it, runs flawlessly, drives great. Also traded our Golf 2.5 in on it as well, since we don't need to bring that to Ohio (moving mid February).

It's rated to pull 7200lbs, so more than enough headroom to haul my E30 or Miata to track days. It's been in central Texas its whole life so not a speck of rust on it. This specific configuration is kind of a unicorn in this area, most people are speccing these RWD or with smaller engines. Pretty excited about it. Going to go through it a bit, do some fluid changes and just check it over in general before we drive it the 1500 miles to our new home next month.

About to get 2+ feet of snow over the weekend. A little nervous to see what the front wheel drive hybrid is going to do

That's a hell of a rig. Doesn't need the 5.7 whatsoever lol but why the hell not?!
Won't hurt having the 5.7l when I haul the BMW+tools+etc to track events

Stopped by the Dodge dealer to pick up some MOPAR LSD additive, they have this awesome looking AMX on the showroom floor.

Installed a new head unit in the Jeep, have wireless Android Auto in it now. Really like this head unit. Need to figure out where to mount my wireless charging stand now.

How'd that go?

29.5 inches!

The battery power said no thanks to the ice and the cold temps, so I was running on 1.6 liters of gently turbocharged Korean muscle lol. Efficiency went into the shitter. The transmission got a little confused a couple times, and the factory programmed rev hang was super noticeable.

For handling it wasn't as bad as I expected. I took it super slow around town and never had any traction issues from a stop or turning. The ass end slipped out once just a bit, and the front end bounced around one street corner, but she did fine.

Considering it's front wheel drive on all season rubber, I'm pleased with it. I felt much more confident driving the old v6 Dodge Journey, but this one was fine too

So the batteries completely failed? I caught my father building a Rav4 hybrid the other day. I wonder if this might change his mind
