Polanco was batting like .235 with a .630ish ops early in July. He's now around .265 with a .725ish ops. That's an incredible 2 months he's had.

Fantasy note: I would've probably dumped him in June if he wasn't a Pirate. I hope he keeps swiping bags, 21 now on the year but he only had 3 in the past month. I still don't think he's very "aware" on the basepaths. Gets caught in between bags and/or leaning the wrong way too often.

Oh he's an awful baserunner, no question. Something to work on.

You can really see the confidence that he has now that he didn't earlier in the year when he was struggling a bit.

I know Ichiro is a nice guy by all accounts, but the commentators sound like idiots complimenting him on how good of a year he's had. He's hitting like .260, never walks and has no power. His ops is in the low .600's. He's just not very good anymore.

it was the same with Marte last year... the league attacked his obvious weaknesses in his first full year, and he struggled early then adjusted himself. polonco is probably the most natural hitter on the team. he will be great.

The difference with Polanco is his shortened swing. He has that extra split second to make a decision at the plate. That is crucial to hitting.

And once again Bastardo leaves Mark with **** to clean up. Good lord I hate him. The fish were basically done with this game.

He's been fine this year Cole. He's clearly behind Melancon, Watson, Soria, Hughes and Caminero in the pecking order. He's not bad for the Bucs' 6th option out of the pen.

And he should be behind all of them. Even in clean up times he messes up and Mark has to come in instead of getting a night off. This is the 2nd time in a row.

Your hatred is irrational. Go find a guy who is his team's 6th option out of the pen who has an era under 4. I'll wait while you do your research.

It's okay to admit he sucks. He consistently does this. Yes - i'll give him credit that he found his way for a brief part of the season and it quickly went back downhill. He sucked at the beginning and he sucks now. He's not a MLB relief pitcher.

That doesn't make you a non-Bucco fan. He's had 2 opportunities to give Mark a night off and doesn't even get 1 out. That's not what we need.

And Mark does it again. :yo:

Just objectively false. This is weird.
