Yoshi needs to be DFA'd. I've seen 12yr olds with better foot work at first. He can't hit or field, but he's getting an MLB check?

I could see it. Martin is a divisive prospect obviously but Martin/Chavis is a very appealing platoon at that position.

Yoshi is hitting for no power either. He doesn't drive the ball. Fat slap hitter that can't field. This is basically what enabled us to pick him up for nothing in the first place.

Can't fire the owner. The whole swiss army knife approach to building a roster is ridiculous, some guys can't play multiple positions

I DFA Yoshi and VanMeter tomorrow.
Bring up Newman and Martin

Phantom IL Stint for Reynolds in like a day. Bring up Mitchell.

Also swap out Knapp for a catcher who hits better than a pitcher.

When your MLB roster is made up of mostly the 26th man on an average team why not bring guys up unless you're worried about their service clock

Honestly if they don't score any runs today or tomorrow they should start forfeiting games.

Terrible defense is one thing. If you can't score more than 2 runs in a game you don't deserve to be an MLB team.

I like Castro but he has been a complete nightmare in every way tonight.

This team needs 1 starting lineup with the occasional day off for the starters, unless you're platooning guys, cause right now you're bidding time until you can replace these "players" with the real thing

I know when you have a bad team your bad runs are hideously bad.

But man. This is hideously bad.

Guys aren't even competing up there at the plate. Vogelbach and Yoshi more or less gave up when they saw they were facing a guy who threw left-handed. Suwinski looked like a AA player again against an average-at-best journeyman in Leiter.

When you have a run where you get no-hit but somehow win, then get obliterated by a 89 MPH lefty and then tonight, you have to make changes. Guys must be held accountable.

If this was a real baseball club there would be wholesale changes, but as long as they don't need ticket sales to break even the status quo remains

Nick Gonzales with another great outing. 2-3 w/a walk. He's 11-22 over the past week. FYI.

Now we need to see something from Cruz.

Great to see. Peguero too.

This Andres Alvarez guy is kinda mashing. And he mashed last year too. Maybe a late bloomer that is just old now because his breakout was delayed by COVID?

Peguero is the one I'm happiest about, given I wasn't as high on him as some. Wish he and Cruz didn't have so much volume in terms of errors at SS, but his bat showing up is a great sign. He gives me a Marte vibe at the dish. Aggressive hitters, who are looking to swing. Decent pop, big wheels, and will take a walk here and there. K rate looks good for the average/power he brings.

Hayes misses a homer by inches. Double. Hit the top of the wire "basket", and bounced back to the field. It bounces the other way, it's a home run. (stat cast says it would have been a home in 18 other parks.} Stolen base as well.
EDIT: Chavis drives in Hayes, 1-1

Vogelbach drives in Reynolds (who walked) 2-1 Pirates

Haha.....Announcer: "Keller has the worst ERA of any starter in MLB".

since 2019 Keller has the worst stats in baseball in 5 different categories.

Win pct. .241
ERA. 6.12
Opp. avg. .306
WHIP. 1.70
ERA +. 70

That's impressive. The friggin worst pitcher in baseball. Way to go.

Yet people talk about how he's a tweak away?

Nah. He's garbage.
