I'm not sure why Shelton was chirping in the dugout earlier and didn't go get tossed on that wretched call against Hayes.

Losing to the Brewers is pretty frustrating because they are just a slightly better team, all things considered. Obviously, in terms of individual pitchers, it's not even the same stratosphere of comparison, but this is not a team that can compete with anybody in the NL East or West who is any good.

This doesn't make one ounce of sense. Yajure has only been good for mop-up duty this year and Quintana has been absolutely in control all day.

I guess it'll be less stressful to worry about losing a winnable 1-0 game if it's 5 or 6-0 here in 10 minutes. What a demoralizing series.

I'm just box score watching, but this team must be coached to swing at first pitches. Too many 0-1 counts.

Part of it was that Peralta was locked in today.

Gotta lift a ball here and then hope Stratton and Bednar can slam the door.

No words for the stupidity of deliberately putting an inferior pitcher in when your stud is at 10 pitches. Other than our manager is a rank amateur.

I'm so glad we are rostering a 27 year old whose upside is maybe 15 HRs and a bad batting average off the bench with absolutely no defensive prowess at all. That ball was right at VanMeter and he just misplayed it, losing the game.

But he is versatile. BC is a genius. So good at tanking.

Take your pick: BC's roster management, Shelton's decision-making, or total offensive atrocity. Probably works for all the games vs the Brewers this year.

Darvish, Manaea, and Musgrove this weekend. Might not win a game.

I don't give any sh1ts that Henry Davis read "48 Laws of Power" or Quinn Priester took up Tai chi.

At some point the major league talent acquisition must be better. Huntington stomps all over BC on that regard.

Was wondering about the play. As was listening on radio and Block and Walk failed to dismiss/lay blame on VanMeter. They were non committal.

It's really strange that they're not using Bednar like the closer anymore and seem to be using Stratton as the closer.
No bednar is the bullpen ace you have your ace come in at the biggest time of the game today that was the 8th against the meat of the order. Stratton would have been asked to get through that in the 8th instead of the bottom of the line up

But they didn't roll him out for the 9th...why? 10 pitches. Dumb.
