Raiders Get to 5-2 at the bye week. Figured based on their schedule before the season that the best that they should do is 5-2 with losses to the ravens opening night for them and chargers on the road.

Figured that they can and should beat the Steelers and their lack of offense, Dolphins with Tua, Bears and their offence, road vs Denver as the broncos haven’t beaten good teams, and this in transition Philly team.

hopefully they heal up their injuries to Waller, Jacobs, simpson, incognito and the DBs over the bye and come back strong vs the Giants on the road.

Raiders release Henry Ruggs after fatal crash

Released. 2nd year player, 1st round pick.

Wow.
He would more likely than not be placed on the exempt list for the remainder of the season.

Pending his legal situation he would also face a 1 year ban at least given that is what Stallworth got years ago.

he would be out of football for the next season and a half. And that’s a best case scenario.

Stupid decision to get behind the wheel given the options available to him.

accident at 3:40 am Tuesday morning. Don’t the raiders have practice on Tuesday especially coming off a bye week? Why would he have been out that late doing whatever he was doing?

And similar to NHL, the NFL has "free rides" to all players so they don't have any reason to get behind the wheel when intoxicated.

Reading news stories, if convicted has to serve minimum two years. (Could be up to 20.)

Images of the cars show that the front of his corvette was caved in.
Possible impaired driving and likely speed involves in his accident leading to death. he made the decision to take his Corvette to wherever he went rather than get a ride to the location. Have to plan ahead. If you are going to be consuming alcohol at the event or place you are going then leave the car at home and get a ride there.

Even without the release Ruggs was not going to be on a football field before 2023 in a best case scenario.

Can’t believe he was driving 156 mph with his gf in the car.
She’s also the mother of his child. He took a life a ruined multiple lives in the process. So completely irresponsible of him.

you make the choice to leave the car at home before you head out that night. Cause people hate to leave their car in a public place over night. Likely it gets ticketed and or towed so they don’t want the inconvenience of that.

that’s why the decision to drive needs to be made before you leave for the night. Know where you are going and what you will be doing. And make the appropriate decision.

That's just straight up arrogance. Most people who know they are drunk drive slower than the speed limit hoping it keeps them from getting noticed. He's out driving like a madman knowing he's hammered.

Another great example of Raiders organizational stupidity. Had a shot at Jeudy, one of the most skilled guys ever to play college WR and took his teammate because he ran a faster 40.

Jeudy and Lamb are the types of WR to catch over 100 passes a year probably in the 110 or more range.

Ruggs, coming out would give you explosive plays and a bunch of short catches as CBs would play off on him. He’d need to be coached up to get more intermediate catches in the 10-20 range where the ball actually travels 8 yards past the LOS. But he would never be a 100 catch guy.

QBs love the speed but I think most guys would rather than a guy who can make plays all over the field vs mainly a deep threat.

Ruggs has already matched his rookie year in stats basically through 7 games.

but just a really stupid decision to take his car to a club.

Blood alcohol more than twice legal limit. Not only killed the woman, but her dog was in the car too.

$150k bail set; prosecutor was looking for $1m. Judge said that speed was more than any he'd ever had come before him.

The more details that come out about the accident the worse it gets for Ruggs.

And the week concludes with a loss to the Giants. Raiders moved the ball but ended up settling for 4 FGA from the Red Zone, with 1 miss. And a strip sack in the closing minute.

No finish today.

Add in 2 picks and a fumble by Carr.
