OT: Raiders news, notes

ESPN with the internal pressure on Raiders front office to get 12 impact players
They need 2 starters with their first 2 picks. Is there even a team per draft that nails their picks like Seattle did last year or what NO did back in 2018? How often do teams get 4 quality starters out of a draft?

Wilson at 7

Raiders podcast has them taking Witherspoon.
DL or CB should be the targets. I think the OL is ok enough to wait until Rd 2 if they truly want to go there. For Wilson to be at 7, means that 3 or 4 QBS go plus Carter, Anderson and maybe a CB I if only 3 QBs go.

Not a fan of taking Skrononski at 7OA. Kind of feels like a Leatherwood/Gallery in that they get drafted as OT, but end up at OG because they can't handle OT. Skrononski has shorter arms, so he's more susceptible for a speed rush off the outside as he lacks the length to push the Edge rusher around the QB. I'm fine with taking someone who is going to be a good RT, that's fine. Not as excited about a Guard at 7OA.

So Levis didn't get picked in the first round? Trade up a few spots to get him or just hope he falls and if not oh well?

If no team moves up, Rams seem like the team to take him. Probably the perfect spot for him with Stafford a similar type of QB. Tough, huge arm, will turn the ball over, and someone who he can sit behind.

But, for Levis, despite being smart, he gives off Wentz vibes. Levis finished his Masters degree and Wentz was like a straight A student throughout. But, they don't appear to have the awareness necessary to lead a team. And both are a bit reckless as they trust their arm too much like Favre, Stafford, Cutler because it's so strong.

Pitt, AZ, Det, Ind, LA, Sea. Pickett, Murray, Goff, Richardson, Stafford, Smith are your starting QBs for those teams ahead of LV. Probably any of Det, Sea, LA could take him. Could see AZ trade down.

But, LV needing a CB. I don't see them moving up. But, very curious if he is still there when they pick at 38.

No need to draft a QB this year but an interesting question with what was supposed to be a top 10 pick falling to the second round.

what is dropping Levis IMO is his leadership. Very similar to Wentz in that regard. With Wentz being moved off by 3 teams, I think teams are wary about his intangibles and leadership.

Like the Mayer pick. Surprised he fell out of round 1. 2 way TE that can lineup anywhere not just flanked outside. Can block.

Hearing Chandler Jones contract has been restructured, but don't have link
Probably just means base salary or option converted to bonus. Meaning they pushed dead cap into the future. Raiders still paying for Littleton and he’s been gone 2 seasons because of multiple restructures.
